In You, Me and He author Brooke Green delves into the strains of maintaining a healthy relationship. All relationships require hard work but how much harder is it when one of its members is bi-sexual? Keith Reed in no way considers himself to be bi-sexual however his old college roommate Jarrod would say otherwise. Especially since Jarrod’s attempt at turning Keith out was almost successful. Now it’s two years later and after a chance encounter Jarrod refuses to let Keith slip through his grasp again.

Jarrod has no regards for his own pregnant wife, Jackie or Keith’s fiancée Donna as he goes all out in his pursuit of Keith. Donna caught Keith and Jarrod in a compromising position years ago and she is the reason why he and Jarrod hasn’t seen or spoken to each other since. It took a long time for Keith to win back Donna’s trust after the Jarrod incident and he values the fact that she’s still willing to build a life with him while knowing about his past indiscretions. Keith just wants the past to be the past and move forward to the future he’s building with Donna.

Donna thought she would never be in her current situation, engaged to a “down-low” brother. But convinced by both Keith’s charm and wallet Donna decides to try and work things out. Their relationship is going well until Jarrod reappears; causing Donna to question whether Keith can keep his promise to remain faithful. But Jarrod isn’t taking no for an answer and if Keith keeps playing hard to get he’s going to have no choice but to oust him from his closet.

You, Me and He was a captivating read. The story was told in the voices of all the main characters Keith, Donna, Jarrod and Jackie. Also sub-plots centering on Donna’s beautician Sabrina and Keith’s father Mr. Reed help to keep the story flowing nicely. Brooke Green does an excellent job keeping reader’s interests while pondering can Donna’s relationship withstand the added stress of another man after her man?

What did you like about the book?
The premise, at first I thought there was no way a woman would knowingly stay with a down-low brother. But Ms. Green managed to make the characters and their actions not only believable but readers will find themselves sympathetic to their plights.

What did you dislike about the book?
The main female protagonist Donna was somewhat unlikable. Donna came off as manipulative and at times it seemed the she took pleasure in reminding Keith of a past that she so desperately wanted him to forget.

What could the author do to improve the book?
Nothing, Ms. Green took a very taboo subject matter and turned it into an engrossing tale.

The 1st time you fall for something you’re a victim

Donna has it all in her fiancé Keith. Keith is as close to perfect as any woman can get. He is smart, has a great job, house, and car. To top it off he is handsome. So you ask what is his biggest flaw? He is Bisexual.

Donna decides to stay by her man’s side as he deals with his “demons”. She gives him one ultimatum and that is to be faithful to her and only her. Keith does his best to stay faithful. Enter his old college roommate and former lover, Jarrod. Despite being married with a baby on the way, Jarrod is relentless in his quest to win Keith back. Jarrod wants Keith all to himself; he wants them both out of the closet and to live as a couple. With Donna’s nemeses back on the scene her perfect little world is threatening to come to an abrupt end. Can Keith stay on the “straight” and narrow? Can Donna continue have faith in her man or will the pressure Jarrod is putting on the relationship be too much for her to handle?

This was a heartfelt story. In today’s world with the Down Low man being so prevalent, this was a much-needed book. I love the fact that it’s written from the woman’s side of the coin. Brooke does a great job expressing the feelings of all the parties involved especially Donna’s. I know with me personally I am scared to death to find out I am or have been dealing with a man on the DL and I’m sure it is that way for a lot of women. Throughout the story I often found myself screaming at Donna to get out while she can, lol. I completely understand why she stayed, as her reasoning was she knows what she is getting with Keith, so why take a chance with stepping into another relationship and getting the same result. I constantly wondered- would I have the strength to stay? I believe that was Brooke’s intention - to get the reader thinking. She tackles a host of issues from the DL brother to the trust/lack of trust issues, to the STD’s so widespread in today’s society to the family issues.

OMG what a story this was..., IDK if i could have stayed around after finding out my Partner had-had an homosexual affair? But that's what Donna has to decide when she finds out that Kieth did with an old friend. And, Jarrod the other man, is married to Jackie who is pregnant no less! But he is hell bent on making a one time affair go well beyond that.
When the lies and betrayal hit the fan, two marriages are put on the chopping block, can either of them survive?
I loved this book right from the start. What a topic and so prevalent in today's society of men on the DL. WHAT WOULD YOU DO?

I read this book years ago and there was so much scandal in it that I couldn't put it down. I really loved this book and all of its dirty little secrets. Much enjoyment was found in the ending though when karma was constantly biting people in the ass. Well played, karma!

Oh No He Didn't?!?!

Donna is dealing with a dilemma that many in relationships find themselves in at one point or another. Her man, Keith, cheated on her. Should she stay or should she go? Donna decides that she and Keith can get past his little indiscretion as he's promised her he will never cheat again and sealed that promise with a new engagement ring. A 3.5 carat round cut solitaire set in platinum to be exact. Enjoying the bliss of engagement and the bling of her ring, a phone call changes it all. Donna learns that Keith has been back in touch with his old college roommate Jarrod. What's wrong with that you ask? Oh, did I forget to mention that Keith cheated on Donna with a MAN, and that man happens to be his old college buddy? Is he or isn't he, Donna must now wonder. Did she make a mistake by taking Keith back in the first place? And does Donna realize she's dealing with a scorned lover that just isn't going to go away easily? She may have won the first battle, but Jarrod is determined to win the war.

"You, Me and He" is a solid debut effort from newcomer Brooke Green. It held my attention and it was entertaining. However, I was somewhat disappointed based on what could have been - the potential this story had. As I read, I always felt that something was missing. This book had all the ingredients to be a real page-turner. You know the kind that make you stay up late trying to see what happens next or has you talking back to the book? This book somehow fell short and didn't bring the intensity it could have. That said, "You, Me and He" is still definitely a book worth checking out.

Donna is a women scorn when she finds out her fiancé also likes to have sex with men. Now of course you would think she would live without a second thought, but this story takes a different turn when Donna decided to stick it out. The fact that he has money helps her decision to stay as well. When Donnas fiancé Keith's former lover Jarrod want leave the picture he will do anything to see that Keith's little secret is out. This book is full of secrets betrayal and life changes. What would you do if you found out you and your man shared the same taste in men? You, me, and He is a page turner and debut novelist Brooke Green shows he talents in this drama pact debut.

What in the H-E-double hockey sticks is wrong with Donna? There is no way I could stay with a man that I caught in bed with another man. HECK NO!
