161 books559 followersIt’s hard for me to imagine that I’ve been writing romances for over twenty years now! I started at the young age of 21, just after I got married. Reading romances, and then writing them, came about as a result of having too much time on my hands. When I first married my husband Don, I was working a regular nine to five job and he worked swing shift, from four in the afternoon until midnight. It wasn’t an ideal schedule for newlyweds, and in order to pass those hours when I was alone I started reading romances, and eventually tried my hand at writing them.
The road to publication wasn’t an easy one. It took me five years and dozens of rejections to make my first sale, which was to Harlequin for their “Stolen Moments” line. THE FAMILY MAN, written under the pseudonym Danielle Kelly, was one of the twelve novellas published in 1993 for this promotional line.
It took me another two and a half years (and more rejections!) to sell my second book. HEAVEN’S GIFT (written under my own name) was published in October 1995 by Leisure Love Spell for their “An Angel’s Touch” series. Another two years passed of collecting even more rejections before I finally sold to Harlequin Romance and Harlequin Temptation. At the time, writing for both Temptation and Harlequin Romance provided me with a wonderful creative outlet for both my modern, ultra-sexy stories, and my warmer, traditional romances. But as the years passed, I realized how much I enjoyed writing the sexier stories and streamlined my career accordingly so that I was no longer writing the sweet traditional romances, and instead focused on the hotter, sexier stories for Temptation and Blaze.
After writing over two dozen books for Harlequin, I decided to branch out. I wanted to write anthologies and single titles, and came up with an idea about three sexy brothers with the last name of “Wilde”. Little did I know that those Wilde brothers would become such a sensation with readers. In the second Wilde book, WILDE THING, four Wilde cousins were introduced, and readers started writing in for their stories, too. It’s been a joy and pleasure to write each of the Wilde stories, and I want to thank everyone for purchasing those books and putting them on the USA Today Bestseller list!
I’ve been a full-time writer for years, which consists of being deep in deadlines, writing proposals (growling at the husband to fix a glitch in the computer so I can get back to work!), perusing contracts, line-edits (stressing over a scene that won’t work or characters that just won’t talk or cooperate with my plans for them!), galleys, art-fact sheets, promotion, and other publishing paperwork. Admittedly, I wouldn’t trade all the craziness in for pantyhose, rush hour traffic, and a nine-to-five job again. Writing is hard work, but I find the rewards are well worth the effort. Fan letters are one of those priceless rewards, and can keep me on a high for days! I’ve met the most wonderful people through my books, some of which I now consider good friends.

Hot and Bothered is the third book in the Some Like it Hot series by Erika Wilde. Each book is a stand-alone but all the novels in the series are good, so I would recommend reading them in order. I believe that Noah is the only single Sommers sibling and in this book, it's the time to change that status.
I liked the book, but to be completely honest, I was a little bothered by the whole amnesia plot. Natalie was very adamant about not dating Noah and once the amnesia plot began it, it was like she let loose and suddenly she was on board for everything. Noah tried to dissuade her, but in the end, he gave up and their "faux" relationship began. When I was reading the book, I was liking the flow and everything, but then this was popping up in my mind and I was a little thrown off. It was like he took advantage of a drunken Natalie in my mind and that's why I am going with 4 stars instead of 5.
I would like to see more books in the series, especially Bobby's story!

I really enjoyed this story between Noah and Natalie. Lots of suspense and mystery going on with twists and turns. He's always loved her but when she had an accident that makes her temporarily has her losing her memory, Noah steps in to take care of his "fiance". The story kept me turning the pages and I was waiting to see what would happen if and when she remembered who he really was! Loved this story so much!!

When you pick up a title by Erika Wilde you know you are going to get a story that blends romance and erotic romance, and this one is no exception to that rule.
Noah and Natalie are attracted to one another, but she is unwilling to become involved with him due to some issues in her past. But, when she is inured and briefly loses her memory, all of the emotions and the attraction are there, but without her reasons to deny them...which is the perfect excuse for Noah to step in, especially as he has always wanted more.
This one, as she doesn't remember her past and Noah isn't totally truthful with her does have the potential to be a little off putting, like he is taking advantage of her...but this is avoided skillfully, by the author and the characters, so it was not an issue.
I enjoyed and recommend this title.

Hot and Bothered is the the third book in the Some Like it Hot series and is giving us Noah and Natalie's story!
I knew right from the start that I was going to love where this storyline was taking me. The characters have such amazing chemistry. Get ready for a slow sexy buildup, mystery, suspense and a swoon worthy leading man.
Noah is a P.I and Natalie is a waitress/ college student hiding from a past. Noah has played it cool when it comes to the lovely and reserved Natalie. She has refused his courting for months. When a injury leaves Natalie with memory loss the protective Noah finds that he can't help but keep her safe.
Natalie soon realizes that the right man may have been in her life the whole time !Loved it !

This book is so good. This book has hot romance, secrets, and suspense. I can’t imagine growing up in foster care like Natalie. I can understand how she wouldn’t want to get attached to anyone as she was afraid they would leave her. But how can you resist Noah? He sounds like someone that is hard to resist. Natalie has a secret reason for being in town, but hasn’t confided in anyone. When something happens and Natalie gets short term amnesia, Noah is there to help and protect her. I liked his quick thinking to say he is Natalie’s fiancé. This begins their close relationship that Noah likes, but also feels guilty. This is a very good book that I strongly encourage you to read. I was given a copy of the book and voluntarily wrote a review.

Noah has always had a thing for Natalie but his playboy ways have precluded him from ever doing anything about it. Then she needs him and he's there for her. It's a slightly unusual situation, though, and requires a bit of subterfuge on his part. When Natalie finds out, will it spell the end of their newly developed relationship?

I LOOOVED this installment of the Some Like it Hot series, actually, it's my favorite of them so far. Noah and Natalie are such a wonderful couple - so hot together, with the lie hovering in the background making for a layer of intensity and tension that only added to their chemistry. I'm not sure if there's more to come in this series, but I sure hope so because it's been a ride with these PIs!

Noah and Natalie are one HOT couple!! They take a little while to get there, but once they do, BOOM! Fireworks!!
Noah is a PI for his brother's business and has been after Natalie for the past nine months, but she has been playing hard to get and has no intentions of being caught.
Natalie ran away from her past and it plays a big part in why she is reluctant to get close to Noah or anyone for that matter. Until one night her past comes back to haunt her and she gets terribly hurt and gets amnesia. She remembers most of her past, but does not seem to really remember the last few years.
Noah tells the doctors and everyone else that he is Natalie's finance. He mainly does it so he can make sure she is ok and to also help protect her. Before she is discharged from the hospital, he pretty much moves her stuff into his house and they play at being engaged. But Natalie does not know that it is all just to keep her safe, she actually thinks that her and Noah are engaged to be married some day.
As the rouse goes on, Natalie's past keeps making himself known and she has no idea she should be scared. She feels safe with Noah and trusts him, but once her memory comes back and she finds out the truth, will what the two became all be over?
Noah falls and falls hard, but he has tremendous guilt over lying to Natalie about the truth about their relationship. He knows he needs to tell her the truth before her memory comes back. But is it too late? Will he get his heart broken after he handed it to Natalie? Will Natalie be able to forgive the like that Noah created in order to keep her safe?
Loved these two. A great way to end the series!! Erika knows how to weave a great story, with great characters, and have her characters feel so deeply for each other. She pulls you in from the first page and you never want to leave the worlds she creates.

But one look at Natalie and he can’t stop thinking about her. One night Noah is walking Natalie to her car when she sees her ex and takes off running, right in front of a car. Natalie has amnesia and Noah tells the hospital she’s his fiancée. He takes her home with him to protect her and find out what scared her and caused her to run. Will Noah be able to convince her to stay when she finds out their relationship was a lie?
Excellent with very hot sex. Two people who are afraid to lose their heart to anyone. This is the third book in this series but can be read as a stand-alone.

5 star Review Hot & Bothered (Some Like It Hot #3) by Erika Wilde
This is Noah Sommers and Natalie Hasting’s story and is the third book in the series. It was smoking hot, deliciously naughty and romantic; l was captivated from the first to the last chapter.
This book was well written, emotional and at times stressful as Noah and Natalie navigate the aftermath of Natalie’s accident, short term memory loss and a stalker. I loved that Noah was determined to do what he had to protect Natalie, the only problem being how attracted he is to her. I really loved the “realness” of the characters and was totally invested in their story.
Hot & Bothered has all the heat and passion that we have come to expect from Erika Wilde as well as emotions. The chemistry between them is intense but what will happen when the truth is revealed and Natalie realises the truth about her “fiancee”? Will she forgive Noah for deceiving her?
I loved the journey they travelled to get the happily ever after that they deserved.

Erika saved the best for last!
This is the third book in the Some Like it Hot series, and it is the best one out of all of them in my opinion. This is the story of Noah Sommers and Natalie Hastings. Noah has been hot for Natalie for a while now, but she never gives in to him. Until one night when there is an accident and Noah becomes her fiancé although she doesn’t know if it true or not since she has amnesia. I loved the story between these two and how Noah stepped up the plate to take care of Natalie while also figuring out what is going on with her and her past and how that is affecting her present situation. These two have so much chemistry together and I love how Natalie goes about seducing her fiancé. Poor Noah never had a chance to deny her. This is a great story and one you don’t want to pass by.

Noah Sommers has been trying for months to get Natalie Hastings to go out with him but she wouldn’t have any part of it. When Natalie is in an accident and ends up with amnesia, Noah decides to step in and help especially when he finds out she has a stalker. Believing they are engaged, Natalie feels right at home in Noah’s life and they start a sizzling relationship even as the bad guy steps up his plan to get to Natalie.
Hot and Bothered is a sexy addition to the Some Like It Hot Series. Noah and Natalie’s relationship definitely heated up the “pages” of this story and there was a very evil bad guy to cause trouble. I loved getting to catch up with Cole and Melodie and be a part of Joelle and Dean’s wedding in this book. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed book 3 as well as the others in this series.

Hot and Bothered is one of those books you know is special very early into the read, it’s got the perfect mix of romance, secrets, suspense and passion and it will appeal to a wide audience.
Natalie works in a bar that Noah a local PI visits frequently and he normally spends his visits flirting with her so when Natalia needs distraction she takes a leap and kisses him and then quickly runs in the opposite direction. What follows is Natalia being involved in an accident and Noah turning into full PI mode trying to track down the person who seems to be stalking her.
This is a story with plenty of intrigue, it will keep you on the edge of your seat, it will captivate you and I’m sure like me you will love everything about this book. The chemistry is sizzling and the characters are loveable so all that’s left for me to say is please one click this gem of a read.

Noah has pursued Natalie non stop for quite some time without any success. Natalie thinks Noah is one fine male specimen but she is determined to resist him at all cost. The want on both sides is palpable but each guards their hearts because of pasts that left deep fears. Unfortunately for Natalie her past catches up to her in a frightening way but luckily for her Noah is right beside her every step. Once Natalie loses her inhibitions along with her memory, Noah finds himself stepping up in an unexpected way and quickly losing his heart. This story had it all-heat, tenderness, suspense and a satisfying HEA.

I loved this book and was so absorbed from the beginning. Natalie sure fights her feelings for Noah, isn’t really giving him a chance. He’s so charming and I love his flirting with her. But someone scares her, and she’s been hit by a car. It’s cute how he says he’s her fiancée so he can stay close. But will she understand? She’s got short term amnesia. Is someone stalking her? Can Noah keep her safe? Loved staying on edge and happy that they get their happy ever after. I voluntarily read an advanced readers copy and I highly recommend this book.

Hot and Bothered is a great addition to the series and won't disappoint you. Wanting and needing someone so much and they keep you at a distance until their past comes to haunt you both. I'm not going to offer any spoilers as I hate them but just know that Erika has a way of making you want more when you are finished with the book. You get to live with the characters throughout the book and live all of the hopes and dreams and the twists that come along the way. Will they find their ever after or will the past make that impossible? Read the book to find the answers. I would recommend this book and this series.

Hot and Bothered (Some Like it Hot, #3)by Erika Wilde .. Loved this series and Noah and Natalie's story was great... It had the family connection.. danger.. intrigue.. laughter.. tears.. desire.. frustration.. and so much steamy stuff all leading to a very HEA. Can't wait to see what Erika does next.

Oh Noah! so strong and determined to be the man Nat needs. Fierce and protective, charming and full of fun. But so weak when she turns her whole mind into seduction. Can you keep her safe from the one stalking her? Can you explain your way out of the massive whopper you told? Do you think she will forgive and forget?

A great read in this series. Noah is a PI but loves Natalie from afar as she tells him no to going out all the time. Natalie has a past and it may be catching up with her, until an accident and her amnesia. We see the chemistry between the two characters that is off the charts. They certainly had chemistry although Natalie does hold herself back. .

From the very beginning I loved this story. The characters were likeable and the story as steamy and intriguing. I liked the mystery and suspense while still being naughty with a side of sweet romance. This is a great addition to the series and I really enjoyed each book.

A great end to this series
This book had it all sexy romance and even some suspense. Everything was balanced to make a great story. The way their relationship started and how it evolved grips you from the beginning, it felt very real. I am voluntarily reviewing an ARC of this book.

Hot and Bothered is book 3 in the Some Like it Hot series by Erika Wilde and what a hot, sizzling book!
Up next is PI Noah Sommers and Natalie Hastings. Noah has always wanted Natalie but that’s not going to happen...that is until Natalie is in a car accident and ends up with short term memory loss and has a stalker. He is determined to find out who is stalking Natalie, protect her, help her slowing remember, figure out how to turn the “fake relationship” into a real forever one...
Of course, it can never be easy...especially when she finds out...everything...

My favourite of the series
5 stars
I am a huge fan of Erika Wilde’s books - she always delivers an interesting tale full of rich characters who always have intense love, as well as deliciously sexual, connections. And this tale is no exception.
Hot and Bothered is the third story in the Some Like it Hot series (after Hot and Sexy and Hot and Heavy). You do not need to have read either of the first 2 book to understand and enjoy this one, as each book focuses on a different couple.
Noah is our carefree, bachelor who has never committed to one woman before. I do so love it when a hero falls hard for a heroine and is slightly overwhelmed and confused by all these new feelings. Couple that with the fact that Natalie is in real danger and Noah feels the need to protect her, and we’ve pretty much got the perfect hero, because - of course - he’s deliciously sexy, too!
Natalie is, as Noah himself states, a fascinating mix of different character traits. On one hand, she’s fairly timid and wary (understandable given her history) but she’s also feisty, knows what she wants and isn’t afraid to ask for it, as well as being sweet and maternal. I really enjoyed her. And she’s 50s pin-up gorgeous, too!
As expected with every Erika Wilde book, there’s a huge dose of sexiness incorporated in the story. There’s a number of encounters but it never overshadows the main romance.
The same is true of the ‘suspense’ element of the story. It’s not nice, but it’s also not properly scary, thankfully, as I’m a complete wimp and wouldn’t be able to cope if it was!
This is a delicious romance with just the right blend of action, suspense, intrigue, romance and sexiness. The chemistry between our 2 main characters, and the personal obstacles they have to overcome to be together, really make their happily ever after worthwhile. Loved it. 5 stars.

Oh wow this one is super steamy, a fast-paced steamy light-suspense read spiced with a fake fiance story. A perfect read after a crazy day at work.
There's more steaminess than the suspense, it has an interesting story, the suspense is what makes me can't stop reading it, even though it's predictable, the romance is cute and hot with loveable characters that I adore, loveeee the sparks between Noah and Natalie, the steaminess is off the roof and they're just so adorable together.
Definitely recommend this book to anyone who's looking for a light steamy suspense read.

Cute story, but it didn't quite hit me with the "I love it" smack that many Blaze titles often do. I needed a quick read about a main character with amnesia, and picked this one up from the TBR pile.
P.I. Noah is in love with skittish barmaid and college student Natalie, but she won't give him the time of day. A child of the foster system, she has trust and openness issues, and someone from her mysterious past is now following her. Unfortunately, the author doesn't allow enough of Natalie's backstory to play out for this reader to get a better understanding of her actions and motivations. So, when Natalie runs out into moving traffic and promptly get runs over by a car, I had to wonder, "Was she playing Pokemon Go, or is she one of the stupidest chicks on the planet??
Natalie wakes up with amnesia, our P.I. Noah pretends to be her boyfriend and promptly moves Natalie into his apartment, and things heat up from there. Thankfully the last half of the book was a lot better than the first half, and that I continued reading. A decent read.

Erika Wilde wraps up her Some Like it Hot series with Hot and Bothered. We finally get the final Sommers sibling's story and it was totally worth the wait.
Noah Sommers has wanted Natalie Hastings pretty much from the moment he first saw her. Thanks to having an abusive ex-boyfriend who turned into a stalker, Natalie moved to Oakland to start over. Natalie is all about trying to stay under the radar both at work and at school, and turns all advances down from Noah. When she is in a car accident, Noah tells the doctors at the hospital that Natalie is his fiancé so he can find out what is goin on with her and keep her safe. As Natalie wakes with temporary amnesia, Noah moves her in with him to keep and eye on her. Noah is especially protective of Natalie when he learns about her ex-boyfriend and her run ins with an unknown man who makes Natalie feel uncertain.
I love that since Natalie believes she and Noah are engaged, she has no inhibitions when it comes to her desire to be with Noah. I literally laughed out loud as Noah tried to keep things platonic between them. I loved that Natalie not only knew what she wanted, but went after it with Noah. They had the most smoking hot chemistry and I fell in love with them as a couple. I absolutely adored their journey from casual flirting to a real romance.
I have to say I really loved the level of suspense that was in Hot and Bothered. It wasn't a full on romantic suspense story, but it had enough suspense elements to keep me guessing about when the ex would show back up. I just knew he would show up when both Noah and Natalie least expected it. Natalie's ex Chad was nothing more than a spoiled rotten mean jerk and I loved how she handled him.
Hot and Bothered was a wonderful ending to the Some Like it Hot trilogy. Erika Wilde once again delivers a sexy romance with just the right amount of suspense to keep the reader on the edge of their seats.I highly recommend this entire series of books to contemporary romance fans.

Hot & Bothered was exactly that!! Lots of steam, angst, and a hot detective that definitely smoked things up! Wink, wink!!
Don’t fret because with a PI in the book you know there will be plenty of suspense too.
Noah and Natalie have had a thing for each other for a while. Noah had been trying for quite a while to get Natalie to go out with him. But with Natalie’s past haunting her she chose not to complicate her life by dating. Little was Noah aware that she lived in fear of her past finding her. One evening as they were all walking out to their cars after work Natalie thinks that she sees the person from her past. Her fear of this person is so overwhelming that she ends up running across the street and being hit by a car.
At the hospital Noah is overwhelmed with concern for Natalie so when the doc asks for family he steps up as her fiancé. Of course, this is far from the truth, but it gives him access to her condition and also makes it easier for him to protect her. Needless to say, Natalie has amnesia and without her memory she is none the wiser to Noah not being her fiancé. But as it comes time for Natalie to be discharged from the hospital it brings up another dilemma…. going home with Noah. This is were the hotness begins!! While Natalie honestly believes that she and Noah are engaged there are many times that Noah is anything but comfortable in their close quarters.
But it does not take long for Noah to realize that he has to decide whether he is going to give in to Natalie’s wanton ways. After all, if they are engaged why wouldn’t he? It was pretty clear from the start that these two are absolutely combustible in bed. They could not get enough of each other. Surprisingly, Natalie is a little vixen with an insatiable appetite for Noah. The hard thing for Noah even though he knew they were living a lie, he just could not get enough of Natalie either. What are these two to do once the truth comes out.
Will Noah’s heart be shattered?
Or will Natalie feel betrayed when the truth comes out?
