While her husband Paul is on his deathbed, he is bringing their quarreling twin daughters closer together. Their different family values had led to a falling out, causing them not to contact each other in years. Joslin struggles to find comfort during this difficult time, by remembering an old friend from her childhood. Suddenly, an unthinkable event happens that can only be described as a mother’s worst nightmare.
The diverse group of characters in “Torn Ribbons” instantly come to life within the early stages of this novel. An epic story which includes suspense, mystery, romance, and has the reader seeing who can and cannot be trusted right up to the very end! This novel includes a strong female lead who’s mission is to find the truth regardless of the consequences. A true mind boggling novel that has the reader constantly putting clues together as they crave for more information. The story plays with the reader’s imagination, making it difficult to guess what will happen next. “Torn Ribbons” is a quick read with many jaw dropping events. A true page turner with a plot that is filled with unexpected twists and turns, keeping the reader on the edge of their seats!

I really enjoyed this book! It is easy to read and grabs you right from the beginning. I found I couldn't stop reading, because I couldn't wait to find out what was going to happen next! Glad I took a chance on it. Now on to the next book in the series.
