Working on reading the books I have on my bookshelves that I have never read!
This 153-page illustrated book of short stories from 1939 was cute. I liked that it told you which country each story came from. Unfortunately, a lot of kids would probably not understand the stories today, because of concepts like a little a woman who would "sit and spin" all day. I enjoyed reading an original version of "Chicken Little" though. All of these stories are certainly throwbacks!
