This simply story is about a child who does not want to go to bed. Poppy would rather play hide and seek! She hides in the hamper, behind the couch and in the dog bed. Finally, she hides under her blanket, and falls asleep for the night.
The artwork is very bright and colorful. The illustrations look like they were made in a collage style. The illustrations do a very good job of disguising Poppy in all of the places that she hides.
This book would be well suited for a toddler story time. This book could be changed into a flannel board story and it would be enjoyed immensely by the children. The words are very simple and are written in large type, also making the book perfect for reading to a single child. If read to an individual child, this book could help introduce the child to reading basic words on their own.
