The uplifting story of the woman who overnight became one of the most famous celebrities in the world In this definitive biography of England's newest princess, Sean Smith has retraced the steps of Kate's journey, from her childhood in rural Berkshire and her unhappy time as a victim of school bullies, to her transformation from a plain, gangly girl into the beauty she is today. He reveals the true story of how the romance with William blossomed at St Andrews University and how they managed to survive as a couple after the relationship hit the rocks in 2007, becoming stronger with a firm commitment to each other that they were for keeps. I have always loved Kate Middleton since she married into the Royal Family. My nick name was Kate (we know Katelyn) in school. At first, I thought it was a ‘mean’ joke to me but slowly I have embraced the nickname.
This book really get to know Kate on a personal level - from a country girl in Bucklebury to The Duchess of Cambridge (April 2011-September 2022). Kate left an impact from the moment she stepped into the Royal Family, showing what a true princess is.
Besides following her fashion, I try to pick up some of the traits that Kate have and imply to my own.
Someone, I'm assuming the author, said it was one book you'd read again and I know I will. I felt that I was actually in a room chatting with the author. It was nice to read a book that did not turn into the pluses and minuses of the rest of the royal family. The only part of the book I didn't like was the venture into astrology. But other than that I loved the book
'Kate' is the story of Princess Catherine's childhood and how she came to meet Prince William. The unauthorised edition by Sean Smith gives us an insist into Kates family and how she grew up. It also includes the complete story of their wedding day with photos throughout. the language is unformal and is written in a simple way. Sean has cleverly researched Kate and provided the reader with many facts that one would offer never have known, one being that Kate and William are 12th cousins once removed.
It's pure rubbish. I can hardly believe that someone wasted the paper it has been printed on and that I accepted to pay 99p to get it. When it comes to rubbish, even a penny is too much. This is the worst gossip book I've ever come across. I wanted something silly to read while standing at the bus stop. I ended up reading...what? What's that? I'd better go back to something that worths to be called a book. My brain definitely needs to rehabilitate after this.
It was fascinating to read the back story of the woman who will one day be our Queen. Although I took it with a grain of salt because it is an unauthorised biography and you therefore have to question everything you read and it's authenticity.
Reading all about Kate's background was so interesting. I predict that she will be a wonderful addition to the royal family. After she dated the prince for years, she knew what she was getting into. I couldn't stop reading until I finished the book.
