While The House That Jack Built is, indeed, a well-known story (many of us can quote much of it by heart!), I'm not sure I'd call it a best loved classic. The rhymes make it flow nicely, and easy to remember. The story itself is kind of mundane. The illustrations in this particular version are a tiny bit creepy. Still, lots of fun to read, to see how much I could remember, etc.
