Flipside: A Tourist's Guide on How to Navigate the Afterlife

Rate this book
What happens after we die? _x000D_ _x000D_ Author and award winning filmmaker Richard Martini explores startling new evidence for life after death, the "life between lives," where we reportedly return to find our loved ones, soul mates and spiritual teachers. Martini documents the evidence of thousands of people who claim that under deep hypnosis, they saw and experienced the same basic things about the Afterlife, interviewing hypnotherapists around the world trained in the method pioneered by Dr. Michael Newton, and observing actual between life sessions. He agrees to go on the same journey himself, with startling and candid results. Extensively researched, breathtaking in scope, "Flipside" takes the reader into new territory, exploring the various disciplines of past life regression, near death experiences, and between life exploration. In the words of author Gary Schwartz, Phd, once you've read "Flipside" "you'll never see the world in the same way again."_x000D_

Writer/Director/Author Richard is an award winning filmmaker, who has written and/or directed 8 theatrical features, and a number of documentaries. His first book, "Flipside: A Tourist's Guide on How to Navigate the Afterlife" went to #1 twice at Amazon in all its genres. The book is based on transcripts of a documentary he made which is available at Amazon (Flipside: A Journey Into the Afterlife) and Gaiam TV. His latest book is "It's a Wonderful Afterlife" volumes one and two where he expands the research into the afterlife from Michael Newton's work, to include interviews with a number of scientists in the field of consciousness, including Dr. Bruce Greyson, Dr. Mario Beauregard, and Gary Schwartz Phd. He also examines near death experiences and compares their accounts to similiar ones during between life sessions (the technique used by Michael Newton that allows people to access the between lives realm, or LBLs) and other examples (OBEs) where people may have lost their ability to think normally, but are having the same experiences.

I have read other books on past life regression, but this book's focus is on "life-between-life" (LBLs) sessions. The author is a filmmaker and has done a documentary on this subject based on Dr.Michael Newton's research and books. I haven't read Dr. Newton's books but will most likely look into reading them. Mr. Martini recounts the two regression sessions he experienced as well as those of other subjects. There is always the question of what happens after death, this book gives a thought provoking account.

Martini compiles interviews and anecdotes from his research on Life Between Lives Regression Therapy. This book is more focused on the spiritual aspects, leaving analysis of the therapeutic aspects to other experts. My only real issue with the idea of LBL is the absence of morality. Evil is not punished beyond a reflective experience in the afterlife. That does not work for me, but Perhaps that is just me being overly puritanical?

This book is right up there with Michael Newton's work! Richard Martini explores in a fascinating manner the concepts and ideas presented by Dr Newton's research, while adding his own personal memories and experience with the afterlife. I found the chapter about the hybrid soul and his prediction for the future probably the most compelling (the rest were pretty awesome too). I'd highly recommend this book to nearly everyone, as it works on many levels to provide meaning and each part of the book will have a special message to say to those who pick it up.

It was a well researched book about the afterlife. There was one chapter in the middle of the book that did not belong. If you decide to read the book you will know which chapter. If that chapter was not there I could have given this book 5 stars! There are many third person and second person accounts, but the Bible is filled with second person accounts, so if this does not dissuade you then this book is for you.

This book is a collection of "Life Between Life" hypnosis sessions. I came away wanting to know more about hypnosis and the techniques being used. It all seems therapeutic. The stories are interesting. It's a good read altogether.

This was kind of mind blowing. When I was a kid I did some experimenting with hypnosis and age regression. I had read about past lives and was interested in it. But my first experience with hypnotizing someone and trying an age regression did not go very well. I had no idea what I was I was doing and kind of gave up looking into things. But if even half of what this book says is true, then there is a lot more to this stuff than I could have ever imagined. This has given me a lot to think about.

Started reading it out of curiosity. Starts in an interesting manner but after a point it feels like it’s hammering only two words ‘love’ and ‘healing’ to a point that it becomes torturous.

And that chapter on alien sounding stuff and HIV!! I mean it looses all it’s credibility at that point.

Also, there is mention of Krishna being born on Mt Kailash!!! It proves that all these stories are the workings of your brain from whatever information or misinformation you have on the subject.

A very interesting read. I enjoyed it. The pages practically turned themselves. I'm currently doing research for a planned scifi/paranormal novel and Richard Martini's book presented interesting and relatable views into perspectives on what else exists beyond us, and this moment.

Richard Martini explores the idea of lives between lives (lbl) in a comprehensive if anecdotal manner. It challenges some of my thoughts on the after life in a positive way.

Excellent book! I’m surprised to see it was published 10 years ago because it contains lots of information I haven’t seen before. I’ll definitely follow up to see if he’s written more since then.

Great book! Some amazing stories and comedy too!

Thank you Richard for your book. It made me laugh and shed a tear once in awhile. I was born, raised, and educated about 45 min. NE of Santa Monica. I also met some of the Hollywood crowd during my life and attended a couple of their parties. I have had some bizarre things happen to me also so I understand that strange things happen, and meet people who you are sure that you have known before this life. Thank you for the review of the facts at the end of the book! I have read Michael Newton, Brian Weiss, Kenneth Ring, Raymond Moody, and others, so I know that the concepts you have talked about are real. Plus I had an NDE back in 2002 and just found out what it was in 2019! Thank you so much!

Interesting book.

It took me a long time to read this. There was a lot of information to read. I am more of a believer in reincarnation. He emphasized that we are here on a journey. The book did kind of weird in Chapter 18. I didn't know what to think about the contents in here. Otherwise, it was a good book.

Eye Opening

I've been searching for the meaning of life on this planet as many have. This work of love by Richard has opened my eyes to a whole explanation of why we are here. So simple that it rings true. I really liked how he wrote for easy reading and gave recommendations for other works to read.

I loved this book and have recommended it to others several times. Dealing with what happens after death, between lives, and also dealing with trauma that carries over from one life to another. Anything else I add would be a spoiler. Highly recommended to anyone who believes or wants to believe in reincarnation.

Soul Food!

Martini weaves his own experience of LBL regression as well as his humor and biographical details into a must-read mind expanding spiritual handbook for the seekers of Truth. Highly recommended.

Excellent overview of our life journey, the next steps as we transcend and life between life

Beautifully written book that shares a number of journeys, and a summary of what we can expect as we move between lives and understand our purpose in this life.

Enjoyed the reincarnation content except for all the Hollywood name-dropping. It doesn’t add any authenticity and was annoying to me.
