Now You Die

Rate this book
When cartoonist Zoe Foster stumbles across a woman's lifeless body in an alley beside her New York office, she does what any good, civic-minded citizen would do: she calls 911. But when the police arrive, there's one small problem -- the woman is gone.

Without proof of foul play, the police dismiss her concerns, but like Kitty Floyd, P.I., the heroine of her popular comic strip, Zoe is not easily discouraged. Her curiosity is piqued even further when she learns that the missing woman, Lola Malone, was a singer at Blue Moon, a nightclub owned by Zoe's ex-husband.

Trying to set aside their differences, the two team up in an effort to find Lola. But the search turns hazardous when Zoe comes up with a new story line based on the singer's disappearance, and immediately she becomes a killer's target. All evidence points to one of her fans, someone who will do whatever it takes to stop Zoe from finding out the truth.

Wow,,, this book is amazing. I love the suspense, I honestly didn't expect the identity of the murderer. I think the plot/storyline is good, not too much or need more, it's just right. It's about a cartoonist who found the dead body, then went to report the indcient, then came back with police, the dead body disappeared! The cartoonist has a lot of curiousity, so ofc she can't just forget about this and move on. She wants to know WHO is that dead body, and who killed her. Then the story begins.

do you love a good mystery? Zoe Foster finds a body but the body disappears after she reports it. cops refuse to believe the woman, a cartoonist. she slowly forms an alliance with her ex-husband to find Lola's killer. Where does the truth lie? Who wants Zoe Foster dead??

This was a simple yet entertaining mystery.

Not too much depth and not too much mystery to be honest. I'm not gonna say I knew who was the killer but that was because of lack of information and not because of the reader not catching the details. I still enjoyed reading about the characters and Zoe's career in particular. Although there were some weird parts with the outdated technology and one or two details that came out of nowhere and served no purpose at all.

First book I have read by this author. Story line was intriguing; never a dull moment. And I did not figure out who the killer was before the author wanted you to know--and it surprised me! A really, really good read.

This was one of those rare books that I did not finish. I just couldn't find myself able to care about the characters or outcome so I threw in the towel a little over halfway through. Surely by then it should have been minorly interesting, yes?

hmmm baru pertama baca novel karangan christiane heggan & menurutku lumayan bagus kok
dah lumayan lama baca nih novel

tapiiiiiii ternyata mereka ber 2 masih saling mencintai walo sama2 keras kepalanya.
si ceweq ga kenal takut banget. rasa penasarannya tinggi. dia ga peduli apapun terus lanjut menyelidiki walaupun nyawanya terancam.

A very good story although it had more twist and turns then I could hardly keep up with.I really love the Kitty Floyd charector that Zoe wrote about and her fans seemed to love it to.Who knew the real killer was taunting her all along through that script. And then when Zoe long lost father entered the picture that threw me,but not nearly as much as finding out it was Joe all along who was the killer.

This book has held up surprisingly well over the years. It has a smart, capable, strong, likable main character and while reading the book it feels like you are watching a well fleshed out episode of Law and Order or something. I really enjoyed it. It starts off with action from page one, and while it doesn't go at break neck speed, it does keep giving you more action and more clues with every chapter so you don't get bored.

Wonderful read

Now you die was a fantastic read! There was even a very bittersweet part that made me cry! That I was so not expecting..... Christians Heggan always brings me right into the book.....although I was right about who it was fairly early, the way the ending of the book was, was just phenomenal!! Another 5 star for Ms. Heaven .....kept me reading well into the night.

Superb read! Fast paced action & without knowing this book takes place during Christmas-time! Perfect for this season. It had great mystery behind it and the killer was not who I expected. Loved the ending too!

The mystery is good but book isn't very well written. It does not make me feel excited about reading it again or reading other book from this author.

Reminds me of a Nora Roberts type plot. Some romance, girl did better detective work than police, etc. Not going to look for more of her books but was okay.

Great! The last few chapters were crazy and blew me away. I really couldn't believe who had done it when I found out. I didn't ever suspect him at all.

The main character is a comic strip writer and that's about the literary level of this book, in my opinion. Very basic storyline.

Came for the romance, stayed and was left dissapointed. If you are looking for some steamy ooy gooey fuck me like we are not supposed to be fucking romance, then you are truly lost here.
