I don’t know that there is any other form other than an audio book where this would work but if you can set aside a few moments to follow along, I can say that it is a tremendous help. I went on a slow meditative walk while listening to ensure I’d stay awake the entire time. The background ambience makes falling asleep an almost given.
Do I think chakras are a thing? I'm a skeptic, but this helped me understand the concept and I find the topic interesting. I think it's useful as a meditation tool, to bring focus to parts of the body and the emotions or mental blocks that may be associated with each part. It's a good visualization tool to add to my meditation practice. The guided meditation in the second half is great and takes you through a full body scan via the chakras.
It was interesting the second half seemed to be designed to be a guided meditation but I had difficulty getting into it as children were running through the house screaming at the same time. I would have preferred something a little longer and more than a page or two on each chakra. Definitely a beginners guide.
This is a really informative and relaxing audiobook...and really short, too! I will definitely be listening again because there is a lot of information here that doesn't all get digested in one sitting.
Nice meditation to listen to during a quiet time. Good overview of the chakra system. I’m vaguely familiar with it and interested to know more. The audio version is the way to go… so you can close your eyes and be guided through the systems.
Nice intro book which was the first part, then a guided meditative quick scan through the body from the root up to the crown. Interesting and a bit different from how I learned about the 7 chakras.
I'm new to the concept of chakras and was interested in reading a simple synopsis of the subject. This was just that. I really enjoyed the guided meditation portion at the end.
