I'm really proud of this little book because one of my short stories was published here, "Road to Happiness." A book full of secrets.

Very religious-y, definitely not for me, skimmed ahead and almost every story references Christianity or Catholicism in some way and not only do I not get that world but I can’t relate to it…it’s also low key kinda offensive in the book, even if it intends to be satirical or offensive on purpose, it isn’t really even successful at that because somehow I’m still just kind of generally offended in a not fun way…also nothing like a tone deaf abortion story from a man pov being thrown in there to totally ruin everything. Seriously, never in a million years would an abortion clinic be having fetus art covering the space with the fetus babies saying God was on their side and how they’re happy to be aborted and go to heaven, LIKE WHY IS THERE FETUS BABY ART IN THE CLINIC…also the story having the guy sexualizing multiple female characters and then the characters praising him for being there for his girlfriend LIKE BITCH THIS ISNT ABOUT YOU—YOUR GIRLFRIEND IS LITERALLY MID ABORTION RN—Okay I gotta chill it’s just this particular story absolutely has me fuming…

I picked up this book today at the Small Press Fest I was tabling at. It was free. No better gift than a free locally published book that's GOOD. I love the writers' submissions so far very enjoyable.
