Not only have I read this cover-to-cover this week but I have made (adapted) versions of three projects. I also spent a lot of money on eBay, tsk! : )

This is very much my kind of jewellery!

I excitedly anticipated the arrival of Bohemian-Inspired Jewelry. I knew that I would love it. It has been no great surprise to me that I have picked it up almost every day for the past few weeks since it arrived. I love flipping through to admire the colors, texture and thoughtful jewelry designs. It was an added bonus to see Soft Flex Company listed as a resource as well as my favorite color of Soft Flex Beading Wire (turquoise) pictured in the "Basic Findings and Materials" section. Lorelei Eurto and Erin Siegel hit the ball out of the park with this book. It is a feast for the eyes.

From the back cover, "Tie it together with leather, silk, and linen."

I think I might be inclined to purchase this book if I truly pursue making jewelry more than just a bit sampling. The designs are inspiring. As a beginner to this, I need to track down a couple of how-to books or classes first.

When I received "Bohemian-Inspired Jewelry" I sat down to skim it before bookmarking individual projects. After about ten pages I realized I wouldn't need the bookmark tabs; the book consists of nothing but page after page of gorgeous jewelry I'm capable of making and that I would be proud to wear.

The photos are beautiful and the instructions are very clear and concise. (Beginning jewelry designers might perceive them as somewhat incomplete, but there are plenty of how-to books and tutorials available to fill in any knowledge gaps.) I especially appreciated the authors' alphabetical project listing of their sources of supply for each piece. I feel like part of the "In" crowd, having purchased components from at least half of the artists listed in that section.

Previous reviewers have said it all. Fans of arty, funky wearable art will love "Bohemian-Inspired Jewelry". I wish I could give it more stars!

Most of the jewelry in this book isn't my style but I have definitely been inspired! The introduction about techniques and materials is brief but quite helpful and the illustrations are very good. The large photos of each finished project are clear, and beautiful, but I wish there were more detail photos. The step-by-step instructions are surprisingly concise, I think it's because the diverse materials make the pieces look more complicated than they actually are. My favorite part of the books are the tips that are included in most every project - they are actually very helpful, even for someone relatively familiar to jewelry-making.

Really like this book. Interesting projects with unusual components. Includes information on how to care for silk ribbon and other items used. Not your usual beadwork book.
