This is an excellent commentary. I read it in in conjunction with Wiersbe's BE Series. While I found Wiersbe superior, what I liked about this commentary by Wenham was he and Wiersbe seldom crossed the same road together so they were very complementary. The reading is not overly technical so it certainly is suitable for a pastor preparing sermons or Bible Studies, but it would also be an excellent read for the laymen wanting to go deeper. I am interested to discover if Wenham has done other commentaries and will check them out and add them to my collection. This is a good resource you will not regret buying.
