Dr. Kevin Elko's spent more than 25 years helping people do precisely capable people trying to achieve greatness, outstanding people trying to do the impossible. He's worked with thousands of great athletes and coaches... outstanding salespeople and corporate executives... audiences who've responded with hundreds of standing ovations. Elko's techniques and insights don't just supercharge they transform lives. Now, he's brought them all together in a single book. In it, Elko reveals why everything you do in life "happens before it happens" and how to build success "brick-by-brick," so success arrives "over a long period of time, all of a sudden!" You'll learn how to "seize your season" and become more fully alive... become powerfully certain that you can make your vision come true... put aside distractions that don't matter, identify the price of your vision, and pay it... claim your success, and actually enjoy it! These lessons helped the University of Miami build its national championship football team... led Nick Saban to make Elko the only performance consultant he ever introduces to his teams... helped NFL all-time leading rusher Emmitt Smith stay relentlessly focused on what matters. Whatever you want out of life, Elko's message can help you get it, too!

Moving On

This a very interesting book! I'm a self-help fanatic, educated and wired to help others. The words Dr. Elko writes help one see how their mind and self-talk direct the body to either move or sit. Moving is better but needs come from a well thought out game plan!

This book is billed as a motivational book that will show you how teams have used Dr. Elko's system to win. It is an extremely short book of about 150 pages. It doesn't tell you in detail with the teams listed like the Miami Hurricanes or the UNC Tarheels. It may tell one story in a couple paragraphs and then the team is never mentioned again. There isn't enough of a story to illustrate the point you are supposed to be learning or coming away with. I was so focused on wanting to know more about his work with this team or that person that it was frustrating for me to read. He uses quotes to wrap up each chapter so you can use this point in your life. However I felt like you couldn't use it because he didn't fully explain it in detail or use detailed examples. I just wouldn't recommend this book to anyone looking for motivation or to turn their life around.

I've heard Dr. Elko many times through work. He is an inspiring speaker. His talks come through in his books. This book really drove some of his points home. If you need a little pick me up or just some ideas on how to think differently, this book is for you.

I've had the privilege of seeing Dr Elko give a presentation. Many of the things he said there are in this book. I prefer his talk tapes though.
