I do not know why I do this to myself. I keep saying I will not read the next book in a series until all books are out or it is close to the next book. UUGGGHHHHHH but I did it again. I was reminded today by the author that I had the next book on my TBR list and could not stop myself from reading it. Sometimes having a Nook is not the greatest thing when I know I can buy a book in less then two minutes. Now I have to wait until December for the next book. Who is going to return? Will Guy be back? Why was Harrison so nice at the end after he almost broke Megan's hands? Why is Erin being so mean? Megan is better off without a friend like her. I still see that Megan needs to save her but I still get irritated about it. So many questions.
Now to how much I liked about the book....
I love when authors are so smart to leave you with your mouth hanging open. Hell was like a cold Mountain top why because Megan was expecting heat. Also when I think of Angels I think love and affection so why am I so sure that maybe the authors perception can be true and they do not have any emotions? It does make sense that if they were all emotional they would not exactly be ideal as protectors and guardians. How could they serve God if they were falling all over with emotions everywhere. I really like this way of thinking. I am not saying that Angels are cold and heartless but that the way the author has written them makes me think.
Megan sure does have a very unlucky streak. I wish there was more interaction with Satan again. He was a very interesting thing in the last book. I also wish Megan could be truthful with her mom. Suze seems like a smart resourceful woman who could handle it.
My favorite part was when Ashley got a face full of Holy water, I could imagine miss all mighty with makeup dripping off.

Let me just tell you this, I had sat down with the first book in this series, Boyfriend From Hell one day, and I sat down with this one, the second in the series, the next, so my brain was practically fried by the time I put this book down. So much went on and I have to admit that I was thoroughly satisfied with most of it, otherwise I wouldn't have been able to finish the two books in two days. But out of the two books, I definitely enjoyed the second the most and from the way it's going, I can't wait for the third. Earth Angel gave me more enjoyment through the main characters and the plot-line, both of which I felt were a little lacking in the first book. I really like the fact that E. Van Lowe's work seems to be improving over the course of the series unlike many other's which slowly start taking a dive.

Megan was one of two characters in the first book who I really thought needed more substance and a better personality, and that's exactly what I received in this second one. She showed a lot of character growth and has proved me wrong at multiple points. She started out a little meager but grew into a strong and determined woman and I loved that. I also liked that she was straight-forward and went through so much to get where she is now because that shows she doesn't break easily. However, as much as I loved Megan, I felt that her character is equal parts weak at times. Lowe shouldn't have tried to make her so forcibly witty and older-than-her-age because that was a definitely turn-off. One of the problems I had with her was that although she was a teenager, she didn't come off as relatable even if she did face the occasional high-school dilemma. But her character and personality in the second book was surely an improvement from the first and I gotta give Lowe that.

I really enjoyed Guy's character in this book more than I did in the first one because we got to see a different side of him putting aside the bad-boy act he put up as a front which seemed to have won him Megan. In this book, Guy has his own voice and I felt like he should definitely be himself outwardly because I like that side of him better. He's actually quite a nice guy and he shouldn't hide his pros while displaying some of his cons. I'm looking forward to seeing even more character growth in the third and final book.

Like I said before, I am thoroughly satisfied this series so far as it's gotten better throughout the story. The action was one of its best aspects with plot and humor falling through by a tiny bit. I also liked that the romance didn't consume the entirety of the story and there was more room for character/plot growth. Some parts of this book came across as forced while others blew me away. This makes me even more excited to get my claws on book number three!

This was an interesting read. Angels, demons, and mortals fighting to save their world. The story takes place three weeks after the first book finished. Megan is dealing with the loss of Matt and Erin - her best friend has changed and refuses to speak to her after the death of her boyfriend Matt. Both of them are suffering, but can't deal with it.

Megan's boyfriend - an angel guardian named Guy, is trying to protect her from demons who would love to get their hands on the powerful book she found. Their relationship has it's up and downs, will they be able to get through the rough patches or will this be the end for them?

There were some good points and bad points about this book. One of the big things for me the fact that I hadn't read Boyfriend from Hell and there were a LOT of references to events that happened previously. This left me confused and wondering. It does make me want to go back and read it, but it was frustrating at times. My only other complaint was the big scene near the end of the story - it happened so quickly! I would have liked to have more - detail, information.. just more!

I really liked Megan, she was a great character. She grows and learns through out the story - I like that in a character! I loved the relationship between her and her mother, as well as with her friends. The ups and downs, the arguments and dealing with the events.

This is something I will re-read again once I've picked up the first book. I'm also looking forward to the 3rd book coming out next December! For those who love YA, and Paranormal - this is definitely a book for you. BUT make sure you've read the first book!

I love when books open and close with the same scene or components, like the feather that falls down on the opening and closing scene of Forest Gump. However, the outcome of this similar component leads to two different emotions. Megan lie has gone back to normal as much as can be expected after falling in love with an angel and winning a fight against Satan. She lost her best friend Matt to suicide and Erin because she blames Mean or Matt’s death. Now she has a new best friend, Maudrina, ho knows all about her bout with the supernatural. As Megan tries to enjoy her time with her angel boyfriend Guy, she knows time with him ill run out soon hen he must return to Heaven. In the meantime, Megan gets an invitation to all exclusive party which ultimately leads to another battle with demons. Now she must make a few tough decisions and the wrong ones could cost her her new found status at school, her education ,the life of someone she loves, or even her own life.

I enjoyed this book. It was an easy read. I look forward to the next one to find out what happens to Megan and Guy’s relationship. Their relationship is believable and cute. It is just like hat a real teen “first love” looks like. And I know that because I have one happening under my roof between my daughter and her “first love”. They would do anything to keep the other one and act like their world would end I they were ever torn apart from each other. Megan and Guy feel the same way and will do anything to keep the other safe, even if it means sacrificing themselves. Which that is a little dramatic, but that is ho teen actually vie their “first love”.

In my reviews, I will not give a lot of details that are in the book. Otherwise, there is no reason for you to read the book!! In my review I also won't give you the same description the book does. Like some reviews do. (UGH!)

With that said: Earth Angel is just as good as the first book. Even though the first book had ended with one of Meagan's friends, Erin, threatening her, there really wasn't much of her in this one. However, it didn't dampen the over all story. There still was a Demon adventure with little things happening here and there with other characters. We got to learn a little bit more about Megan and her being "special". We also were introduced to a couple of other characters. There are a couple more Angels, a Nephilim and of course, a few more demons. I can't wait to see what the third book: Heaven Sent, will tell us. I hope it will give us what it was lacking in this one. ERIN!

This book is very good from the beginning to the end. One minute I was starting the book and the next thing I know, I am 68% done. It went quick because the flow of the plot, body and overall writing is great! I definitely recommend this book. I do suggest you read the first book first: Boyfriend From Hell. Otherwise, you may get confused.

I happen to be the publisher of this book, so I'm clearly biased. However, when I discovered that this series had not been snapped up by a bigger publisher, I jumped in. E. Van Lowe writes so well because he'd been a writer and producer on "The Cosby Show" among other sitcoms and knows how to create an involving storyline and amazing dialogue. He knows young women and men well, and their awkward interaction. He weaves in humor among the heart-pounding drama, and like J.K. Rowling of Harry Potter fame, knows how to make the ordinary world extraordinary and yet believable. In this book, when the forces of evil set against Megan, you squirm--how's she possibly going to get out of this one? Yet what's so appealing about this fifteen-year-old is that she has smarts--both street-smarts and book smarts, and she can be funny.

I know this series will catch on. Who will be the first to broadcast it? While I am anxious for people to find this series, I know it won't be because of me. I'll be because a few early and enthusiastic readers will write about it and mention it to others. I thank you, whoever you are.

Earth Angel by E. Van Lowe

Destiny Binds Him

Just because Megan Barnett recently defeated Satan, has a fantastic new best friend, and has won the love of deliciously handsome Guy Matson, doesn't mean her troubles are over. Far from it. For Megan doesn't realize it, but in her possession is a powerful weapon, one sought after by both angels and demons and everything in between. They will do ANYTHING to get it.

In E. Van Lowe's humorous, romantic, and thrilling sequel to Boyfriend From Hell, Megan winds up in a gripping life or death battle to save herself, the angel she loves, and all of mankind from unspeakable evil.

What Stephanie Thinks: Though Earth Angel is the second book in the Falling Angels Saga series, it works fine for a stand-alone novel because the previous book's situation is explained really well throughout it. This is both a great reminder for those who've read the prequel, and a nice catching-up for those, like me, who haven't.

Megan's special — it's the only reason why demons are chasing after her and her possessions — but she doesn't know exactly why. All she wants is to live life as a normal teenager, one who does well in school and can just have a few moments alone with her super-hot boyfriend, Guy, without being interrupted, but it just so happens to be that said boyfriend is a fallen angel, one who's clipped his wings just to be on Earth with her, and that itself comes with tremendous limitations. The angel council won't leave her and Guy alone; they seem to want to do everything to split the two up. Megan and Guy love each other too much for this to happen, she knows, but with the responsibilities piling up on the both of them, she wonders if the angels just might be the end of her only meaningful relationship...

Megan's voice is straightforward, I'll give it that. But it's also incredibly choppy and not teenage-girl-like. I know Lowe attempts to make her sound really witty, but that falls flat — her opinions are actually quite mediocre and she has a tendency of stating the obvious. She is relatable in terms of her high school dilemmas and boyfriend woes, which is an indicator of strong characterization, but her voice is just weak. Lowe's style itself just doesn't flow very well, making the read pretty rough. I did, however, like her friends. Angel and human, they all are portrayed beautifully; definitely the ideal gaggle of acquaintances, ones that I want, myself!

The action is fast and the story fast-paced, which I kind of liked. Scenes aren't dragged out and there isn't much suspense, so the plot progresses nicely, and the reader doesn't get bored. It, however, doesn't pack that big of a punch as Lowe would like it to. I mean, it deals with Satan, the Underworld, and forbidden love, but for me, it wasn't all that poignant. The story kept moving forward, so yes, I did keep reading, but Earth Angel's story isn't one that's going to stick with me.

I enjoyed Earth Angel fairly because it has some original paranormal scenarios involving angels and their forbidden territory on Earth, as well as because it is a quick read. However, I won't say it's really anything remarkable. Both the awkward writing style and lack of conviction make this one kind of dull. I will give Lowe props to an inventive creation of a paranormal world, as well as a pretty realistic high school setting, but the stale dialogue and failed attempt at making everything sound so dramatic, make the novel overall a pretty unmemorable read.

Stephanie Loves: "'No one should push their problems off on others. It's cowardly. You're not a coward, are you? ... If more people shouldered their own problems instead of trying to pass the buck and push them off on others, the world would be a much better place.'"

Radical Rating: 7 hearts - Not without flaws, but overall enjoyable

This book was by far superior to the first. Megan had grown a lot through the first book, but even more here. We learn that Megan is special, it’s the only reason why demons are chasing her and what she has, but she doesn’t really know why for sure. She just wants to spend time with her super hot angel boyfriend, who is actually a fallen angel who has clipped his wings to be on Earth with her. The angel council won’t back off and leave Guy and Megan alone. They try all they can to split them up. But Guy and Megan love each other too much to allow that to happen. But with the responsibilities bearing down on them, she wonders if the angels will be the end of her only meaningful relationship.

I really did enjoy seeing the character growth in Megan. Makes me sortof feel like a proud mom, as I am a mom too, and just have that feeling. I do feel really bad for her for most of this book because of what is going on with her mom and Erin. It’s all just so unfair! I just wish more people would trust Megan, I do now, we all need to. I didn’t like her at all in the first book and am glad she did the growing up she did. It’s nice to witness her progress in the maturing department.

Now Guy in this book was another one I fell in love with, I didn’t have much of an opinion of him in book one. I knew he would be important, but not that I would like him. We get to really see into Guy’s head in this book and get a feel for him, which I loved. I wish he would have just been himself the whole time, instead of putting on that bad-boy act. But I guess it actually worked for Megan. I do wish we could have more of Guy in this book, now that I like him so much.
We do get to see some more new characters, Harrison and Rocky, and I liked them ok, but just really liked Guy and wanted more of him.

The surprises we got to discover about Megan were nice, I liked that a lot. It sure has me anxious to read the next book, as I think we will be seeing some really cool things to happen.

I really, really loved the friendship of Megan and Maudrina, it touched my heart and will enjoy seeing them get closer and become really good friends. She really needed it after Erin went crazy (which I hated by the way) I was really hoping to get more insights to the Erin/Matt situation, but unfortunately it was not addressed at all. Maybe in the next. Though I am not at all happy with this new Erin, so really could care less if her and Megan ever make up.

Overall I loved this second installment to the Falling Angels Saga, I loved it more than the first, but it’s like that most of the time for me, as we know the characters by the second book.

I am excited to get into the next book, as this had a killer of an ending, which I didn’t really like. Just hope Megan can fix things in the next book.

5 out of 5 stars, highly recommended.

I received a copy of this book from the author for my honest review and the tour.

Review:

Characters: Unlike the previous installment, this book presents more stable characters who, though still lacking a certain depth, seem more realistic than before. Throughout the story, I could see Megan's character develop, if only slightly, since her character seems nearly fully developed already. Other characters, such as her mother, Suze, have less of a hold on their identity, as it seems the author still tries to direct his story into moments that, while beneficial to the story and characters, wouldn't naturally occur, thus taking away the one thing that is essential for an amazing book, realistic and fully fleshed out characters.

Romance: Like some of the characters, the romance also lacks depth. Since we didn't get a strong establishment of a love story in the first installment, when the author advances the romance in this book it's awkward and I found myself not really caring when Megan and Guy would have more dramatic and "heartbreaking" moments. With the lack of relationship development it was hard to care about these characters interactions and when in any other book I would be agonizing over the relationship even though I knew they'd get back together, here I was unfazed and more interested in the other goings on of the plot.

World-Building: Unfortunately most of the questions and new developments left off at the end of the previous installment, such as Erin's betrayal and hurt, were overlooked to pave the way to a newer plot point, that while connected to the events of the first installment, didn't feed out of naturally. We get a new demonic villain and learn more about Guy's past and the history of angel/human relationships. There are aspects of the last book, that while seeming small at the time, are expanded and shown to be a lot more important in this novel, though I was hoping to see more development in some of the questions left off at the end of the last book, which are overlooked until the end of this one, and even then it's not that they are fully addressed, but more that it implies a resolution in the next installment.

Predictability: Like the last book, this one is mostly predictable, with some twists that can be seen a mile away. When there are more unpredictable moments, many of them are more random than unpredictable. The difference being, some moments seemed to have a slight amount of foreshadowing that led to the twist making sense, but there were moments that were just thrown in there to elicit a shocked reaction but didn't make sense with the characters or with the situation.

Ending: The ending was a bit drawn out, but not as much as the last one, it had a smaller conclusion following the final confrontation, and left many questions up in the air. While it was less drawn out than the previous installment, it still could have been shorter and summarized the events following the final confrontation a bit more. Another thing that bugged me a bit was that most of the unanswered questions left off at the end were questions that i had at the end of the first book that weren't answered at all or were glossed over. In the very end is a puzzling cliffhanger that would have made the wait for the final installment a bit more unbearable.

Rating:

While I enjoyed the writing a bit more in this installment it's still not on par with most of the the other books I've read. I think the writing is poor at best, but the story is addictive and I cannot get enough. My guilty pleasure series is getting a bit better and I'm feeling a little less guilty with this installment. Due to is short length and larger than average font size it's a short read and can be read in a matter of hours depending on your reading speed.

**Warning – this review may contain some spoilers for book #1. Read with caution**

Earth Angel picks up right where Boyfriend from Hell left off. Megan is left trying to piece together the shambles of her life after the epic battle with Satan. Although she now has her mother back, she has lost two friends. Life is seemingly getting back to “normal”. Well, a new normal for Megan.

I was so happy to see the relationship between Megan and Guy grow in this book. I was rooting for them all the way. It is so much fun to see Guy try to act “mortal”. We also get to meet more of Guys…let’s call them Friends…in this book and learn more about the environment that he was born into. It was immensely satisfying to learn about all of the different aspects of the hierarchies throughout Heaven and Hell (at least from the authors perspective). I was sucked into the worlds as if they were a complete fantasy world built from scratch.

There were a few things in this book that irked me. Small plot details that were seemingly unimportant, but pulled me out of the story just enough to make me stop and take note.

1.) The name of the MC was spelled differently at one spot. Her name was Megan throughout the whole book series, then in one spot…Meagan. Probably not something anyone else would notice, but since it is my name…I don’t know….it called to me.

2.) At one point, Rocky, an angel who is portrayed to have no emotions, is proud of Megan for risking her life for love. If she had no emotions, why would love be something to be proud of?

3.) Guy is captured 100 ft in the air (with clipped wings), and yet

Wait, huh?

Ok, that was it. Those were the only things I had issues with in this book. Everything else was complete awesomeness!! This was NOT just a stepping stone book to get to book #3. There was a whole new story, characters changed and grew, and new characters were introduced.

Speaking of new characters….Ah Harrison…oh, I hope that I get to see more of him in book #3! Harrison is a Nephilim. The child of an angel and a mortal. So he stands in both worlds, fitting in to neither. He has this wonderfully sexy Australian accent, long blond hair, tall and slender. He is a friend to Guy and just rubs Megan the wrong way on every encounter they have. I loved him!

And, Oh. My. Gosh….the ending!!!! Nooooo, say it isn’t so! I had goosebumps from the ending lines. Luckily, I have book #3 and will be promptly diving in to see what happens – right now!

A review copy was provided for an honest review. Earth Angel is a quick and fun read. I liked the sequel a little more than the first book because E. Van Lowe introduces a couple of new characters who are very interesting and entertaining. I felt like there was much more story and character development going on and many different things happening that kept it fresh.

The sequel is set shortly after Boyfriend From Hell (Falling Angels Saga, #1); jumping to when Megan's already recuperated from her battle with the devil and her and Guy are finally a real couple. Megan is still coping with the loss of her best friend Matt who was also her betrayer for which she still has residual mixed feelings about. She tries reaching out to Erin but it seems she's strayed from her normal behavior and into darker territory. But Megan could not be any more happier since she and Guy are now official and they have a shot at a normal relationship--or as normal as can be with an angel. Unexpected problems arise that threatens to tear them apart along with some buried secrets, lies, and hidden agendas.

I felt kind of let down with Megan because in the first book she's a go-getter whose hell bent on taking down Satan himself to save her mother but in this book she kind of digresses into a scared girl who struggles to deal with everything that's presented. However, towards the end she starts being the more confident version of herself that I really liked seeing in the first book. Once again I enjoyed seeing Guy but his scenes are so few and far between, you see other secondary characters more than you see him--the cover is a little misleading in that aspect. But I loved the introduction of Harrison--Guy's angelic friend, he's arrogant, attractive, witty, and has an Australian accent to boot--he's just so awesome! You also get to see more of Maudrina whose become Megan's best friend and I loved reading the parts with them together--just like in Boyfriend From Hell they have there delightfully comical moments.

In Earth Angel Megan starts to shed her nerdy reputation and moves up in status due to her former association with Matt who was part of the Poplarati but it's not all its cracked up to be when she gets put in a strenuous situation that can easily destroy the popularity she's just gained. To top it off it appears she hasn't seen the last of Hell when its residents come looking for her. Between her social life, school, boyfriend drama, and otherworldly beings she has a lot on her plate. Earth Angel has its ups and downs but overall it's a nice amusing paranormal read. It earns a solid 4/5 star* rating. I'm looking forward to Heaven Sent (Falling Angels Saga, #3).

I liked this book more than the first one in the trilogy, and from the way it ended it seems like the last book is going to be the best one yet! Earth Angel totally changed my view of Megan and Guy. I liked both of them so much more, and I felt like I really got to know each of them so much better.

Megan has shown so much character growth. It makes me kind of proud really. I felt so bad for her in most of this book because of what was going on with Erin and her mom. It was just not fair at all! More people need to trust Megan, including me. Well from about page 20, she had earned my trust completely. I am not happy to say that I am on team Megan! :) I love when a character starts out kind of iffy and then through their trials and tribulations they mature in some way. I love to read about their journey and actually witness their progress. That's what happened with Megan.

Guy was another character that I did a 180 with. My feelings for him completely changed. In Earth Angel, you really get to see into Guy's head and get some idea about who he really is. And the true guy, is pretty great. He should have just been himself the whole time. He didn't need to pull that bad boy act. But I guess it worked with Megan. My only complaint is that I would have liked to have seen more of Guy in this book. But instead we got to see some new characters- Harrison and Rocky. I liked them, but now that I had warmed up to Guy I wanted to see more of him.

I loved the little surprises we found out about Megan and I can't wait to see even more about these developments in the next book. I bet we are going to see some really cool stuff.

Megan's friendship with Maudrina touched my heart. I really enjoyed seeing them get closer and become better friends. She needed that after Erin went crazy. (which I totally did not like. BOO ERIN!!) I wanted to get some more insight into the whole Erin/Matt situation but that did not get addressed at all in this book. Oh well, maybe in the next book there will be a fight or resolution between Megan and Erin, but I have to say I am not at all impressed with this new Erin.

Overall, Earth Angel was a really good second book in the Fallen Angels trilogy. I found it to be more interesting than the first. Probably because the foundation had already been set and we already knew all the characters. I can't wait to see what is going to happen next. Another killer ending that left me sad, but I am hopeful that Megan will be able to fix the situation in the next book.

Three weeks after the end of Boyfriend from Hell, Megan is still trying to deal with the fall out. Her best friend Matt is gone, having sacrificed himself to right the wrong he did to Megan and Erin hates her because Matt always loved Megan while only liking Erin. Her mother, Suze, new best friend Maurdrina, and boyfriend Guy are there to help her cope and navigate through the emotions and high school drama around the girl who finds herself without her two best friends and suddenly very popular.

But Evil isn't finished with Megan. Hell wants the book Megan took from Armando and used to send him back to hell. This time, they're sending demons to get what they want and they'll use what Megan loves most to get what they want.

The second installment to the Fallen Angels series was better than it's predecessor. Instead of being the self-absorbed girl that she was in Boyfriend from Hell, Megan matured and thinking of a much bigger picture than her own little world.

She's worried about what would happen with Guy, should he get redeemed and ascend to Heaven again. Sure she's worried about what that will mean for her, but she's also worried about Guy who seems torn between the girl he loves (Megan) and the world he's always known.

She's also worried about Erin and tries to mend the rift between them. Granted, Erin wants nothing to do with Megan, but Megan does continue to try. In the past, she would have gotten mad at Erin and given her the silent treatment rather than trying to get through to her.

When Megan discovered Hell was still coming after the book, which she still had in her possession, she understood the dangers of letting it fall into the wrong hands and took steps to ensure it's safety. And when Beelzebub took what she loved most as a bartering tool for the book, Megan put aside her feelings for a certain incredibly beautiful angel linked to Guy and joined forces with her to save the boy she loves.

The book cliffhangers at the end, leaving us to wait for the final installment, Heaven. Hopefully we'll get our answers to what's going on with Erin and which angel is rising again.

Megan Barnett is still reeling from her battle against Satan. In the blink of an eye, she's lost her two best friends - Matt, who died for the noble cause and Erin, who blames her for Matt's death. The loss of both deals her heart a heavy blow, but she knows that sometimes all things happen for a reason. Even if she can't quite understand why.

She now has a cute boyfriend, an angel, no less, by her side. Surely, that counts for something. Yet deep inside, she knows that nothing can replace the emptiness she feels inside for the loss of her best friends.

Guy Matson, a fallen angel who's fallen in love with Megan, has been entrusted with her safety. A task that isn't as easy as it sounds. Demons have begun to resurface, intent on claiming the weapon that is, unbeknownst to him, in Megan's possession. Trying to hold up his end of the bargain, he does his best to ensure that his new girlfriend is protected at every moment. Yet little does he know, Satan has other plans for them both.

Acquiring a new best friend, Megan tries to understand the paranormal world that now surrounds her. Her mind, at times, cannot fathom that there are angels and demons fighting over her with every step she takes. Yet deep inside, she knows she has the upper hand against Satan. For the moment, anyway.

As her life starts spinning out of control and she finds herself in hot water at every turn, she realizes she needs all the help she can get. With Guy at her side, anything is possible. But only if they can stay alive long enough to complete the mission that has been set forth before them.

I technically should have started reading the first book of this series, but in all honesty, it's not necessary. Sure, it's always good to start at the beginning, but this is the type of series where no matter what you book you start with you, you won't get lost while you're reading it. E. Van was able to fill us in on what transpired in the first book with subtle hints in this second book. I honestly enjoyed every minute of it and look forward to reading the first book soon as well as what transpires next in this series. It's that good!

Earth Angel is the epic sequel to Boyfriend from Hell and let me just say this series keeps getting better and better. I had fallen in love with the first book. I am a huge fan of Angel and Demon books. I think the usage of Christian "mythology" in a sense is very captivating and entertaining. But for the majority of the first book we as readers didn't know that her mom's boyfriend was the Devil or that Guy was an Angel. So Earth Angel is where we got to see a development of mythology. Megan met demons, nephilim, and another Angel. It added a lot to this series. E. Van Lowe realy developed a world in our own and is just beginning to scratch the surface in this book as to the magic that it holds.

I love Megan and Guy as a couple but I don't think we have seen that much of them actually together. Last book she kind of stalked him in that weird way teenage girls do when they like a hot guy. This book she spent the beginning with him and then broke up with him and finally the rest was spent saving him from a demon. And now he is gone. So when she does find him in the next book I would hope that we get to see them more as a couple. If I could say something I don't like about this series it would be the length. They are super short, under 200 pages each book. I WANT MORE! For the short amount of pages we do see a lot of character development and world building but at times it feels rushed. In the first book Megan's actions made you want to hit her at times and not until later in that book did I connect with her. I think that there are so many things in this series that could be expanded upon.

I think if you are a fan of strong female heroines you will love Megan. Megan is mortal but she is brave and doesn't care that she is facing much stronger opponents. She fights for the love she feels for others. I think anyone can relate to her and love her. She isn't just some damsel in distress.

E. Van Lowe has created an amazing series so far that will have you falling in love with Megan, a mortal who saved her mother from her devil of a boyfriend and just so happens to have an angel as her boyfriend. If you love fallen angel books this is the series for you.

I enjoyed Book 2 just as much as Book 1.

Now that Megan has chucked Satan back to Hell where he belongs, she can concentrate on healing her wounded heart after the death of Matt, salvaging her friendship with Erin, and spending time with her now-grounded Heavenly Angel, Guy. Even the best laid plans have bumps in the road.

Megan still has the The Book of Calls--the tool used to defeat Satan. Now, everyone wants the book; Angels in Heaven, Demons in Hell, and Nephilim on Earth.

There are very typical teenager moments in this book (it is YA after all).
1. After Matt's death, the Poplarati invite her to The Explosion, a "ditch day" tradition. She is then accused by the Principal of the school and threatened with expulsion from the school unless she gives up the names of everyone else that was there. She refuses, not wanting to be the snitch.
2. Guy shows up to a basketball game with a beautiful angel at his side and Megan fears the worst--he is breaking up with her for this beauty. Of course, there are tears, accusations, and miscommunication.
3. Discord between her and Suze (her mom), which is a typical teenager problem (I was a teenager once, a typical one at that).

Megan's former friend, Erin, transfers to another school and refuses to talk to Megan at all; angry because she blames Megan for Matt's death. She also befriends some ruffians from her new school. This particular plot line isn't explored in Book 2 but I hope it is in Book 3.

Guy, now that his wings are clipped and he's grounded to earth, spends as much time with Megan as possible. Since Suze isn't fond of him, it's mainly at school. Megan never reveals that she is in possession of The Book Of Calls to Guy but he eventually finds out...after it's too late. The demon obsessed with finding The Book Of Calls has tricks up his sleeve, requiring Megan to save the boy she loves.

We got to know Megan and Guy a bit better in this installment and it really helped me connect better with them.

Megan Barnett doesn’t waste any time - she’s just saved her mother, lost her best friend and is about to enter the serious stage of the school year – and already she’s back facing another supernatural enemy. Her formerly angelic boyfriend Guy Matson is heavenly and is everything she could want in a boyfriend but his former life as an angel is starting to take its toll on Megan. He has secrets that he can’t divulge and when mysterious people from his past pop up Megan isn’t quite sure how to handle things. When demons start appearing in her backyard Megan knows that something is up… and knows that she’ll need help in order to beat the beings of Hell again…

I love to see characters grow and Megan has matured quite a bit since Boyfriend From Hell. She’s still a little self-absorbed but deep down her heart is in the right place. When it comes down to it she will sacrifice all she has in order to help those she cares for. Her friendship with Erin is practically non-existent but I really liked that Megan didn’t just forget about her friend and move on. She’s trying. And the evolution of her romantic relationship with Guy is fun to read.

There’s new characters in Earth Angel that I loved reading about – Rocky and Harrison. And despite cringing every time Harrison spoke (I swear – us Aussies don’t sound like that!) they brought something new and exciting to the story. Maudrina is a fantastic BFF for Megan to have and confide in regarding the supernatural activity and Maudrina’s aunt is the kind of mentor that every Satan defeating heroine needs in her corner.

I would have loved to have seen more Guy in this story – but completely understand why he was on the down low. The romance was sweet and I liked where the author is taking this couple.

This is a quick and fun read where the angels are sinfully delightful and the heroine is trying to save the world whilst still muddling though high school. The third book in the trilogy, Heaven Sent, is available now.

**SPOILERS! PLEASE STOP READING IF YOU HAVE NOT READ BOOK 1**

This book started where it left off where it ended in book 1 (Boyfriend From Hell). I have to say that I really enjoyed reading the first book, and I had to get my claws on the second. And I have to say, there wasn't a moment that I regretted.

Megan thought everything was over, since her mum's "boyfriend" is actually Satan and her boyfriend is a fallen angel. Megan wasn't the type of bad-ass girl I was accustomed to, but she wasn't the showing off type either, so she was really likeable from the start. I love the relationship she had with her mum, sometimes I feel jealous towards their relationship. I mean, who wouldn't want to talk to your mum like you're best friend? I would!! I would totally want to talk to my mum about boys!! Lol.

I have to say, Guy wasn't the most hottest fallen angel ever (Megan's boyfriend), but again, he was really likeable. I can tell that he wasn't one of the main characters in the book, but that was ok. I still enjoyed it.

In the first book, Guy put up a bad-boy act to kind of win Megan over, but in this book, he has his own voice, he shows the true him, so I really enjoyed that. Even though, I'm a total romance lover (hehe), I like how the romance didn't totally consume the whole plot of the book, so that was a real change.

A lot of humour went through in this book and I find myself laughing a lot. I read this while I was on a school trip and I have to say, I laughed out loud a lot that everyone looked at me like I was some crazy person. So this book definitely had humour.

I totally enjoyed this book and the first one, and I can't wait to get my hands on the third. For anyone who haven't read this series yet, PLEASE DO!! You will NOT regret it!!

A few months ago, I read the first book in this series, Boyfriend from Hell and I loved it, so when I found out Earth Angel was coming out I had to sign up. Sometimes sequels though good are not as good as the first book. But this one was even better than the first if it was possible.

We pick up where we left off in the first one, Megan coming to terms with all the events that happened in the first book, battling Satan, falling in love with her Angel, Guy and making a new best friend. Besides nightmares that have been plaguing her, life is good. Until all Hell breaks loose, literally over a certain item she now has and has kept hidden since her battle with Satan.

What I loved about the first book and continues in this book is that I could honestly relate to Megan, even though I haven't seen my teen years in what 20 plus years, I still felt I could relate to everything Megan was dealing with. It brought back memories of some of my not so great times as well as the good times. I have to thank the author for making it so believable for me I could feel this way.

So not only does she have to deal with normal teen issues she has to battle evil again to save the angel that she loves. This book is a fantastic fast read and I urge you if you haven't read the first book then you should. If you have and liked it as much as I did, then you have to read the sequel its even better than the first.

The only thing I didn't like is I have to wait a whole year to find out what happens next, Heaven Sent is scheduled to be released in December 2012.

In book two of the Fallen Angels series Megan is trying to get her life back to some version of normal. After death of one friend and losing the other to jealousy, she finds that Maudrina and Guy are the only people she really has left to talk to, especially when it come to her supernatural adventures from book one. While Megan may believe that her adventures are over, things ramp up again pretty quickly when they discover a low-level demon has been tracking her.

We get to meet a lot of supernatural types in this one, more angels, a nephelim, and a few demons. And they all want something that she ended up with in the end of book one. But Megan isn't ready to just hand it over, until Guy gets kidnapped and taken to hell. That kind of changes her perspecitve on things a little. I love the way the author portrayed the other angels and demons. They were each unique with very different motivations for helping or huring Megan.

A lot of times things seemed to just sort of work out magically for the best. Information would just pop up at the right time or people would suddenly be more willing to help - this made parts of the storyline a little unbelievable. I still very much enjoyed it and while I won't be chomping at the bit for book three - I definitely want to know what happens next - the ending was a killer cliffhanger.

HOLY EARTH ANGEL! I have to say that this book blew me out the water. We get so much more action and development of the characters and even new characters come into the picture and I just could not put this book down. Lord I started reading it at work and then when it was time to leave I switched over to my Kindle and kept reading it. That is how much I loved this story.

Megan has defeated Satan and everything should be good right? Well no actually it is about to get a lot worse because Megan has something heaven and hell want and no matter what she does or what she says she is about to have the battle of a lifetime. At least one thing is good well maybe two because she gets a new bestie and she gets Guy. Lord I can't say enough about Guy because we get to see what is really going on with him and what I saw I love more and more. I love him as a bad boy but he really is the perfect match for Megan.

There is so much action and changes in this second book that I don't want to spoil it but Megan will gain new friends she will lose old friends and most importantly she start to see that she has something that is very valuable to both good and evil. What side will she chose? Will it be good or will it be evil? You will have to read it to see and by the way I need book three like yesterday!

Now that Megan has defeated Armando and sent him back to hell, she can start picking up the pieces of her life. Dealing with the death of Matt and the loss of Erin's friendship is taking its toll on Megan. Her mom is also hurting over the sudden disappearance of Armando.

All the popular kids are being nice to her now and trying to include her in their events. Erin is at a new school and wants nothing at all to do with her. Megan finds friendship in Maudrina, a dog-loving outcast with a heart of gold. Don't forget about Guy. He has given up everything to be on earth with her. Things are starting to settle back now, maybe?

We have some new characters to show up in this book such as Harrison. I have not made up my mind about him. He has a good heart and is loyal but he can turn on you in an instant if it benefits him. Rocky is the gorgeous angel who was supposed to marry Guy until he fell in love with Megan. There is more to Rocky and she ends up being fiercely loyal and a huge help to Megan.

Megan must once again fight the forces of evil. This time she has Maudrina on her side. With the help of her loved ones she must one again face the dark side. I think I liked this book just a little bit better than the first one. The characters were familiar and developed. I love this storyline and can't wait to read book 3!

Oh my! Earth Angel is even better! It picks up where Boyfriend From Hell ended and doesn't slow down!

Megan, having dealt with the aftermath of defeating Satan, is trying to put her life back to normal. However, Erin is not speaking to her. And although Guy has declared his love, he reveals a secret that could destroy their budding relationship. And, as if that wasn't enough, Megan must also deal with the fact that she's being stalked...by a demon!

Earth Angel is a richer experience. We get to know the characters in depth and it is very rewarding. Mr. Lowe's paints the characters as much more complex in this installment. And that, coupled with the action of the story, made for a more satisfying read. Megan learns more about herself and about true friendship and loyalty. I also love that she attacks problems so logically - like a true mathematician. :)

Earth Angel is equally as tense and action-packed as Boyfriend From Hell, as Megan and her cohorts must figure out a way to deal with the demon stalker. And they must also deal with plain old high school drama.

Again, I liked the combination of realistic high school issues intertwined with the paranormal. Fallen angels, Nephilim, demons, plus the poplarati all combine for a great read.

Earth Angel was a deeper story and I think even more enjoyable. I'm anxious to read the conclusion to this series!

Reviewed on Lili Lost in a Book

I loved, loved, LOVED it! It was awesome and had shocking twists I did not see coming! The ending...Oh my gods! I want more! I need more! I sooo cannot wait for book 3!

Earth Angel had awesome descriptions, tons of actions, and lots of emotion. Megan's character has really grown and developed, while Guy...gosh, that guy is just totally swoon-worthy, yet still a bit mysterious. Love it! I was really glad to see more of him and Megan in this book.

We all know that Megan sent Satan back to where he belongs, right? But, the bad news: she is still in possession of a book all sorts of supernatural beings (i.e. demons) would do anything to get their little claws on. So Megan finds herself being stalked, thanks to the stupid book. The question is: who is it?

Megan also really wants to repair her friendship with Erin, but that doesn't seem to be going so great.

And Guy has this friend...a girl friend (not girlfriend, mind you)...an angel girl friend, who Megan doesn't know what to think of.

Yeah, Megan kicked the devils butt, but her problems are far from over.

If you haven't noticed, I am a HUGE fan of E.Van Lowe's Falling Angels Saga! HUGE! Lowe has done an incredible job of writing the characters in this book. Megan, the main character, starts out as this incredibly self absorbed teenage girl that continues to grow into an amazing kick-ass, selfless heroine. Megan's mom, Suze, both impresses me and infuriates me all in the same book. Guy is perfect and then, well... he isn't. That's what I love about these characters, they are wonderfully and perfectly flawed. Boyfriend from Hell and Earth Angel are both quick, fun reads packed with romance, action and humor. This is definitely a book you will want to start early because you won't want to put it down once you start. I do have one giant complaint Mr. Lowe, I can't believe you left us hanging the way you did at the end of Earth Angel!!!! If you haven't read the Falling Angels Saga you are seriously missing out. I can't recommend these books enough.

Earth Angel is the second book in the Falling Angels Saga. I normally don't like to read a series out of order, but in this case I did, and I feel that E. Van Lowe did a wonderful job in making it easy to follow.

At the begining of the book, Megan seems like your typical teenage girl..excellent student, wonderful daughter, and caring friend, who is trying to deal with the lost of her bestfriend, Matt (in book ONE). As the book progress, her character begins to take a whole new turn, from a model student to someone who is about to become expelled from school...From the ideal, trustworthy daughter to someone her mother can't trust. And just as Megan thinks the Evil she once defeated has given up, Hell turns up again. This time with demons, that'll stop at nothing to get what they want. Even if it costs the lives of everyone Megan holds dear.To read more go to http://www.nilsa-rodriguez.blogspot.com

Packed to the brim wirh action, drama and magic that will have you sitting and gripping the edge of your seat! I know you're probably sitting there thinking but it's just a YA. Yes it is a YA but it's not JUST your average anything! No matter what your age, you're going to love it as much as I do.I'll give ya just a tiny bit of it this time. Guy can not keep Meghan out of trouble and danger. Only this time she's gotten in way over her head and has some of the most evil, trickiest and powerful demons ever known after her and Guy and that's not even the apex of the story. I don't have the words really. This is my favorite YA series and author rhat I've found. HIGHLY ADDICTIVE! And I can not wait to read the orher two already sitting in my kindle! I got this book free with no strings attached, I'm lea)ving this review because I want you you all to know him and his work. ENJOY!!!

I had the pleasure of reading this book prior to posting a review and promotion for an upcoming Cyber Monday Giveaway. I must say I was impressed with the story and characters. For all the YA, paranormal, fantasy fans - this book is a great read. It kept my interest from start to finish, made me wonder what would happen next; and actually kept me in suspense for most of the book. I personally struggled with a few of the story's details and situations; but I don't want to put any spoilers in this review, so you'll just have to read them for yourself! Well-written, intriguing story, characters with depth and honest emotion, teenage struggles and paranormal/supernatural elements - definitely a good read!

Earth Angel is a fast paced and fantastic YA novel that will leave your hearth thumping in your chest.

As always, Van Lowe brings his readers a vibrant cast of character who are endlessly charming and entertaining. From Aunt Jaz to Maudrina to the newly introduced Harrison, and of course, the teenage-embodiment-of-perfection, Guy. Meg is just fabulous as a heroine, always pushing through her fears and subtly flawed. In all honesty, Aunt Jaz is my favorite, as I believe she is keeping bigger secrets than she lets on. Hold on to your hearts, because the end is full of love and sacrifice. This one is not to be missed.

If you have a teenage daughter who wants a good book that is about being a TEENAGER and all that those years bring with them, I highly recommend this series.

Great book, the ending leaves you definately hanging in for the next book.

Reading this a second time through I pick up so much more, and definitely see more into the characters and the world that is developed. I could tell there was some strain in this one between Guy and Megan starting out right away, just because he had some things that couldn't be said about the angel world, or he wouldn't say. Then there was the mysterious Roxy character, and the demon hunter friend "Harrison and a lot of grins and unanswered questions for her. She just took it as nothing. Great story, excellent twist of course and then the ending is of course as before like I said a doozy.
