A bit biased but very insightful to the pressures of filming. It's great that he gives people chances because this is a very cliquey and difficult industry. He helped put interesting films about Black culture on screen- an impressive accomplishment.
This book offers a surprisingly balanced look at Spike Lee's career and life. In the same way Lee himself doesn't hold back, those interviewed for the book give an unfiltered opinion of the man. My Grad: B
It was kind of inspiring. It reminded me to never give up on my dreams no matter what people say. I recommend this for older adults not young adults because it will be a bore for them. The book basically describes his childhood and where he group to him he go into the amazing world of filmaking.
