Don't bother picking this up if you don't love Marvel Comics and the myriad fun and/or goofy characters they've published in the past seventy years (give or take). If you do love Marvel, this series is crack. It's significantly updated from the original 1980s edition. I can't say that I'll rate and/or list every individual volume in the future, so consider this a review of the entire series. Fun geekcrack.
I'm a huge fan of the Marvel Universe Handbooks (and the DC Comics' Who's Who). This edition was great because as someone that doesn't read a lot of modern comics (which to me is anything post-1995, lol) it had a lot of newer characters and a ton of Golden Age Characters I had never heard of. Also, it was interesting to see how many of the well-known characters' lives had intertwined during the last 60 odd years.
This is a must read for anyone who wants to know more about Marvel characters and the world they inhabit.
