100 dates in 100 days, the very notion gives me a chill. Dave approaches the task with humour and a real hope to find love & there are some rather entertaining moments. Having said that this book is ten years old now and some of it hasn't aged well (some of the comments are a little mean!), but it was a good, easy holiday read.
I've been to a talk by this guy, and he is very funny and has a good life story. However. I remember reading this ages ago and finding it really fun. However, I then lost it so didn't pick it up for a good 2 years .. by the time I came back to it and tried to carry on, I found it quite unpleasant to read - to the point where I gave up, which is unusual for me! I suppose it's probably the point of the book, how jaded Cornthwaite got by all the women he dated, but I just wasn't enjoying reading about that. The tipping point for me was when he made fun of a woman who had a limp and also, based on the context a speech disorder. Had to stop then!
The book started out as absolutely hilarious but took a twist I wasn't expecting. The end was drug out a little too long for me but overall he had a great message and lessons learned.
