How many times must a woman be warned about a man before she recognizes the danger that she and her child are in? How many times does the same story have to tell itself before women like Sandra Lucas stop believing that the ending will be different for them? Noah is a tale of fear and love and never forgetting.
This is a story about a husband and father who looses his wife and son to the brutal violence of a hobo, and for years can find no way to move forward. By chance, he ends up renting from a young woman and her son who are also in danger of brutality from the "boyfriend". This book came to a realistic conclusion, but not as satisfying as I'd want. Some incidents seemed like hopeful changes would follow. However, this read left me sad that folks become so entrenched in the limits that form their lives and often see no way out of problematic conclusions.
