This would have to be one of the best endings I have read for a series wrap up, trust me, Tim did not hold back. I was peeking between my fingers. What Tim does to the reader.......... and you will never guess, some things!
My heart was hurting.
Tim has hit it out of the ball park! I literally cannot say much in this review as all Tim’s old and new fans are going to have to read his final instalment in the Kiera Hudson series to understand what I mean without me doing spoilers.
Tim so expertly wraps this series up with everything he has woven all the way through Kiera Hudson series. He really is very impressive.
What I can say is I virtually needed a paramedic on standby for the latter two thirds of this book. Tim was killing me with emotion. I was almost screaming at him. I needed a punching pillow.
Talk about brain scramble. I would be thinking I knew..........but then.........and then.........and , well, THEN................. it was becoming exhausting. I was playing tennis inside my head, all these possibilities. It was rather brilliant of Tim what he has done. I couldn’t be happier with the ending.
There is so much I want to say and I just can’t. I can’t even say Mr Cranky Pants name...ssshhhH!!!! I can’t say any of their names or else I will spill. Everything you have loved about Tim’s writing in his earlier books in this series is magnified in Vampire Hollows.
Tim has written the creepiest scenes and he will sucker punch you and.......he will hurt you.
I give the ending 6 out of 5, pure awesomesauce!

FAVE QUOTES:
We’ve just followed the pizza-boy halfway up a mountain to some doorway set into a mountainside, and we don’t know what’s on the other side of that door!” “Pizza-boy?” Sparky whimpered. “I think he’s talking about those spots on your face,” Isidor said. “Get used to it, he says that sort of shit to me all the time.”
“Couldn’t you lot use the front door like everybody else?” he snapped over his shoulder. “I heard you were all a bunch of mavericks, but this takes the piss!” “You mean there’s a front door?” I breathed..
“Where are we?” I breathed, feeling breathless at the sight before me. “A promise is a promise,” he smiled back at me, and I loved that smile. It wasn’t his cocky smile, the one I’d so often wanted to wipe from his face, but it was the nice smile – the one that I had so often wanted to kiss, the one that made my heart race.
“I said, I love you. Even though you can be the most infuriating arsehole I’ve ever met, you smoke like a goddamn chimney, you’re arrogant, foul-mouthed, and -” “Okay, so they are all my good points,” he cut in, “What don’t you like about me?”
“And what about you?” I asked him. “Do you have faith in me, Potter?” “Does a bear shit in the woods?” he smiled and winked at me.
Potter winked one of his black eyes at me, and said, “Sweetcheeks, two o’clock!” “What’s happening at two o’clock?” I breathed, shocked at seeing him. “I’m holding a tea party,” he smirked. “What do you think I mean when I say ‘two o’clock’?”
I don't know what to say - for once I'm kinda speechless, and for those that know me, that's a pretty hard thing for me to become!!!
Having read and enjoyed all of this series, I'm pretty sad that I've reached the end... It's been a journey that I didn't think I'd enjoy as much as what I have... by the time I had read book 3, I was gasping for more... and then of course Wolf House hit me like no other short novel ever has... and now I'm at the end of Vampire Hollows...
Let me see, what emotions did I feel this time??? first of all frustration... How difficult was it for me to sit still while Kiera was still imprisoned... I was rooting for her escape... Agony as I went through her visions and tried to decipher who 'he' was, knowing that Murphy was right all along (yeah my lovable sweet Murphy, never forgotten)... Relief, finding the escape... and then of course the curiosity, the twists and turns that I never excpected... more frustrations as I thought I'd lost some of my favourite people...
But MAINLY, I was stuck! Everytime I thought I'd worked things out, Tim would change his tactics and throw me off the scent, right up until the major reveal I was thrown to the side and way off track!!!
I was floored at the end, gutted (devastated in English terms) but then not surprised... it all made sense...
...And wow... what an opening for the next series... I can't believe that the ending was the way it was... clever stuff!!
I loved this series... I loved the characters and I placed another writer on my favourite Author List... Tim you are amazing!!!
First of all, who about that cover?? Is Kiera beautiful on it or what?? Perfect cover for the perfect ending to this series.
A part of me is sad I am writing this review. I've followed Kiera from book one, Vampire Shift, and have patiently waited for Tim to finished each book that followed...well, maybe not so much patient but anxious. ;)
I'll try hard not to give anything away as I don't want to ruin any of it for those who haven't read it.
Vampire Hollows picks up right smack dab in the middle of the action where Vampire Breed leaves off. Kiera and gang make their way to an entrance to The Hollows, which is more beautiful than anything she has ever seen before. The Elders at the Dust Palace are waiting for Kiera to come. The journey is not an easy one, but then again, nothing has ever been easy when Kiera is involved. Suspicious of everyone, knowing there is a traitor among them, members of the group are dying one by one. Kiera has no time to grieve, what with fighting off Vampyrus and knowing she alone holds the power to decide which race lives and which race is eliminated. And now that Luke has returned from being held captive at the zoo, how does Kiera tell him she doesn't feel the same anymore and about her relationship with Luke's best friend Potter?
A few tears, some laughs, some surprises, suspense...Vampire Hollows has it all. Just when I thought I had everything figured out Tim would throw me for a loop. My first though on who Elias Munn was correct but after doubting myself many times, Tim kept me guessing till the end.
If you haven't jumped on the Kiera Hudson train then you should. It's dark and gritty. You feel like you know these characters and find yourself rooting for your favorites. Congratulations Tim on a job well done. You kept me on the edge of my seat and second guessing myself throughout the series.
Now, is it time for Dead Flesh? Cause I'm ready to see what happens next for Keira and those who return to the next series!
From the very first book in this series I was hooked.I love Kiera and her story.I love how the story makes you feel like you're right there with the characters when you read these books.I have to say I couldn't read this book fast enough. When Potter first came into the picture I didn't really like or trust him.As the story played out I really started to like him and found myself feeling sorry for Luke. This ending to the Hollows blew me away.I never would of guessed. It kept my stomach in knots all the way to the very end.I LOVE this series and I can't wait to read the next series with Kiera.Thank you Tim for creating a unique new world that is just flippin awesome!!!!
This is a GREAT book....it started out a little roughly for me. Flashbacks between the past and present style doesn't usually work for me BUT once I got the rhythm down it picked up. I love books who's storyline makes me read faster because I am anxious to find out what happens.
My only complaint is that I am now cliffhanging while waiting for the next book *pouts & taps foot impatiently*
OMG .... Loved this book ... Plenty of action ... Still love Potter, he's mint ... The ending will shock you as it bloody shocked me and I was all emotional and like "whaaaaattttttt noòooooooooo" but then I was like "phew" ... This story will keep you on your toes and Tim has done an excellent job of keeping the readers intrigued and I'm sure this will continue in the next books.
Well, 'Vampire Hollows (Keira Hudson Book 5, Series One)' is certainly full of surprises. It has been a rollercoaster ride of good and bad, highs and lows and the impact it has on the readers' emotions is extraordinary.
Tim O'Rourke's writing is as descriptive as ever regarding the scenery, so much so that it feels like you are actually there, spectating the events that unfold. I have never experienced a book that captures the soul as the Keira Hudson novels do. It is an experience that makes you feel so alive, like you are a part of the story, like you are a character in the story, assisting Keira on her journey.
Keira has gradually been changing and becoming slightly more like a Vampyrus throughout the series and because of how gradual this has taken place the reader does not disconnect with her in any way. Keira was as human as you and I during the Ragged Cove adventure (with the exception of her being able to see the most obvious and piecing it together very quickly) and it is only when looking back at the first novel that we realise how far she has come. And yet we love her, perhaps even moreso than when we were first introduced. I love the fact that she can control her new features and how she flies. The description on how she flies through the air, with the skin on her face rippling, due to her velocity and the wind blowing at her, is just exhilarating and makes it all the more realistic. Also, her seeing ability is still present as we are taken back and forth into her mind's eye. Some scenes here are graphic and remind me of the tv programme 'Silent Witness'.
Wherever Keira seems to end up her prize possessions never leave her: Murphy's crucifix and her beloved iPod. The use of this iPod and the song choices, as mentioned in earlier reviews, have a very stronghold in connecting with the characters and the scene that they are used in. It does not disappoint!
Potter is by far my favourite character, even above Keira I have to say. He is like, to me, a younger version of the character Gene Hunt from the 'Life on Mars' and 'Ashes to Ashes' series. Even though he is meant to be young, he is witty, sarcastic, moody, stubborn, etc, with oldskool phrases suchas "easy, tiger" and "sweetcheeks". He is a man of mystery and darkness, and yet he is very moral and loyal. We are constantly kept on our toes wondering if he is the traitor or not.
There are so many twists and turns that absolutely nothing is obvious. This series truly is an escape that feels so real. There are also many questions for the reader to seek answers to: is Luke still alive; will Potter resuce him; who is Elias Munn; will Keira decide to end all human life or end the Vampyrus'?
The Vampyrus truly are incredible creatures and the description of their wings sounds breathtakingly beautiful. I imagine the movie 'Michael' with John Travolta and the more recent 'Legion' with Paul Bettany when picturing their wings. They sound heavenly even though some are cruel creatures. Which leads me again to reiterate some of my earlier reviews of this series that the characters are very believable. They all say and do both good and bad, making it near impossible to find out who the possible 'traitor' amongst the group is.
Again, there are different types of beings to look out for with Vampyrus, Lycanthrope and half-breeds. The Lycanthrope character, Jack Seth, is a large guy, reminding me of Alcide Herveaux from the 'True Blood' tv series but with the moodiness and, for me, a slight disconnection like that of Jacob in the 'Twilight Saga'.
We are also introduced to new characters, such as Coanda and The Elders. The Elders seem to hold the authority in the Hollows and nothing seems to get passed them. They cannot be fooled.
Even writing this review now I cannot escape the atmosphere of the book. The Hollows are a mix of caves and dark tunnels with some open spaces. The rocks are mostly red, like you would imagine on Mars, however some areas within the tunnels are grey and dark. Some areas are mountainous while other areas are wooded. Then there is the light from the Lighthouse, the lava, the ash and dust and the murky fog in the tunnels. If you would like adventure, action, mystery, love, and excitement this series will completely blow you away.
Had slight water works. (Ok Maybe I needed a box of Kleenex)
Thought OH MY Fudge!!! WT >>>>
Really nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo..
Was ready to lose it and thought......
Ok …. I must keep reading........
I read this last book into the wee hours of the night. Tim has certainly outdone himself in this last installment of this series. It was certainly a double whammy, triple whammy well you get my drift!
I giggled, I cried, I gasped and thought WT >>> on many occasions and at one stage I was Like ohhh man you’re not for real right...??
I was sure I could look upon Kiera at one stage and I was within her body.. Looking down upon .............. with tears in my eyes.. I felt every emotion within the pages, and being an emotional reader I certainly felt this story the most.
Tim has no qualms in putting forth his vivid descriptions, with such depth and details at times it’s kinda gross. But none the less, this certainly gives the reader great visual and insight into every concept with the pages.
Then the reader went flat ...... sigh - I gathered myself together... Jumped in the shower and waited for it to charge to find out what Tim was up to... Surely he couldn’t - he didn’t - but why?? GASP!
Anyway - Tim has jammed packed Vampire Hollows with so many Twists and turns I was once again taken aback and amazed. I didn’t know what to think at one stage. I thought he had lost his dam marbles lol...
He surely is lucky he redeemed himself with those last chapters or I m not sure what I would've done ** grins **
This book was certainly an emotional rollercoaster ride. Filled with blood, gore, murder, mystery, Mayhem, romance, love, loss and a HUMDINGER of an ending... I did not see coming...
OH MY!!!!! The suspense almost killed me.
I did the happy dance - grinned - smiled and thought oh my thank goodness!!!!! ** I could've kissed the reader **
Vampire Hollows will have you engrossed with the first pages, you won't be able to put it down, and it will have you captivated within the compelling storyline, ewe ing and ahhhhhing along the way.
Kiera made some tough decision in this book, and I must say that I didnt expect that from her. But overall, I enjoyed her much so as a character. Ive watched her grow from book one and was glad that she finally came to a medium within herself.
I was Grinning once again at Potter's witty comments, ahhing as well. ** swoon **
I was unsure who the killer was but I had my ideas along the way.
I certainly had my thoughts - but the way, in which Tim writes his stories, he certainly gives no clues. He keeps us suspended on that tight right and unleashes little at a time, if anything at all.
I enjoyed the overall recap of how and why - the Killer enlightened us of what Kiera has missed along the way. The killer certainly enlightened both Kiera and myself as to how, what and where of his events. I liked this part. It certainly filled in all the’s and why's I asked myself within every story.
Tim is UNPREDICTABLE - a master of surprises, a master of deception ;) But I loved it...
Never once could I predict any outcome within the story. I was surprised, gob smacked and totally blown away on more than one occasion. What can I say...?
THIS SERIES IS JUST FULL OF AWESOMNESSS!!!! I loved it !!!!
A must read.. I will certainly be delving into series two and seeing in which direction Tim now takes us.
Vampire Hollows concludes my read-a-thon of Tim O’Rourke’s Kiera Hudson One series. First time I have ever sat down and read an entire series back to back to back without reading something else first. I think it actually made the experience more enjoyable. A huge thank you, once again, goes out to Tim for giving me the opportunity!
The story picks up right where Vampire Breed left off with Kiera confronting Dr. Hunt and the group on the run from Elias Munn, Phillips, Kiera’s mother, and the Vampyrus who want to take over the world. Kiera, Kayla Hunt, Isidor Smith, and Sean Potter have somehow survived some serious trials and tribulations and Kiera has undergone an amazing transformation to become the group’s de facto leader and something of the chosen one as it were with wings, fangs, and claws.
Unfortunately, Kiera still needs to resolve some issues like who the real Elias Munn is, who the groups traitor really is, as well as whom her heart really belongs to Luke or Potter. She also must meet with the Elders who want her to make an important decision regarding the fates of both the human race and the Vampyrus. Kiera has been tried and tested throughout this series to the point where she doubts not only herself, but her ability to make the correct decisions when lives are on the line.
The one thing that was abundantly clear to me from the beginning of this series was that Tim was going to maintain Elias’s true identity until the very last breath of this series. It was actually fun guessing which supposed good guy really was the bad guy! I will say that I correctly guessed the identity of Elias Munn and his intentions towards Kiera. I appreciated the revelation into his identity as only Kiera was able to do with flashbacks and “seeing” the evidence play out before her.
As the story unfolds to his climax, Kiera and Gang have only one direction to go; The Hollows. Kiera and Kayla have never been there, but, it’s like a homecoming of sorts for Potter, Isidor, and Luke who is supposedly rescued from the zoo by Potter. If you’ve read this book, you will get my supposedly reference. If you haven’t, what are you waiting for?
As the story concludes its amazing journey which started with Vampire Shift and Kiera’s introduction to a world she never suspected existed, suspicions grow within the group as to the actual identity of Elias Munn. Character after character is brought to their knees leaving Kiera alone to make the awful decision as to which race, human or Vampyrus will she allow to survive.
As for the ending of the story, one can only hope that Tim has some ideas as to how he is going to wrap up Kiera’s story in the second part of her series. I would love to see her gets some much needed time out and a HEA with Potter. I was left with some minor questions like why Tim didn’t allow Kiera to face off with her mother. I think that would have made this book even better. I’m also wondering what Kiera has to do to finally get the monkey off her back and be left alone!
EEEeeekkkk!!! The Kiera Hudson series has come to an end...and what an end it is.
Usually by the time you get to that last and final book in a series it's just so sad knowing that this is it. There won't be another book after this. It's time to say goodbye, but with the way this one ends I couldn't be happier! So many things finally got sewed up and brought into the light. That and I can't wait for the new spin off series!!!
Kiera, Kayla, and Isador have to make their way to the Hollows while Potter is off to go save Luke from the zoo. Of course nothing can be easy when Kiera is involved. The journey to the Hollows and beyond is a tricky one. Will they be able to make it to Hollows in one piece? And if they get there will Kiera be able to make the decision? How will live? The Humans or the Vampyrus?
When things hit the fan. And Kiera finds herself with her back against a wall with nothing left to live for, just how far is she willing to go to save both races?
OMG this was one hell of a ride!! Action packed in a way only Tim O'Rourke can do it was hard to put this down. I gasped, I screamed, I wanted to throw my kindle across the room...but in the end I couldn't have thought of a better ending for this series! For those of you that haven't started this series yet, do yourself a favor and pick it. You won't be disappointed and then you can get ready for the spin off series!!
HOLY AMAZING! Loved the whole story! I felt like I just ran a marathon when I finished reading the book. So much running and flying, it feels like I was right there with the characters, makes me feel breathless.Hmmm, I really love Keira's story and love the other characters as well especially Potter. And Elias Munn? I didn't see that one coming. But love it all the same, I like how the story unfold at end. This series is just getting better and better. I'm so glad to hear that there will be another book coming. I'm looking forward to reading it. This is a must read book! Well done Tim!
Absolutely fabulous as with all Tim's books. Tons of twists and turns and even more surprises!! Looking forward to the new adventures for Keira Hudson. I will be re-reading these books for years to come!
**Thank-you so much to Tim O'Rourke for allowing me to read and review this!**
The Kiera Hudson series has been a non-stop heart racing, heart pounding ride that’s seen Kiera face danger, find romance and discover the ultimate betrayal, all in the lead up to the gripping conclusion that is Vampire Hollows!
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again—this has got to be the best self published series I’ve ever had the pleasure of reading! Ever since the very first book, this compelling series crafted so masterfully by author Tim O’Rourke has had me completely. Tim’s intensity and detail in his writing as well as the dark, enticing world he writes about have swept me away and I’ve fallen in love with the characters even more with each gripping instalment. A master at mystery and slight deception, Tim has constantly had me on my toes, often heading in directions completely different than he looks to be going in the beginning.
Tim O’Rourke knows how to write his twists and turns into his books in such a way that you’ll never see most of what happens coming. The discoveries that Keira makes and the revelations that come to light are always mind-blowing and often heart-breaking—there’s so much deception and betrayal that mixes with friendship and love throughout this series. It’s simply brilliant. I never know what to expect when I pick up a Kiera Hudson book and I find I anticipated having my conclusions thrown out the window each time.
Kiera Hudson sure has been through a lot since first arriving in Ragged Cove, setting in motion events that would shape the whole series. She is no longer the same young woman she was in the beginning and I’ve loved watching her grow. She’s harder, perhaps more jaded, but she’s still managed to hold onto that hope and goodness that’s made her a fantastic character to follow. Even in the very end, when she’s faced with so much pain and decisions that seem to have no light, she still manages to do the correct thing by herself and what she knows to be right. Correct me if I’m wrong but sometimes I think Tim’s loved putting her in impossible situations and seeing her get out of them—I know I’ve enjoyed seeing her do that. Watching her define who she is after learning her life isn’t what it seems and what she is isn’t quite human has been a highlight of the series. What can I say? I love this girl! I always have and even in the very end I still love her and still agree with her choices.
Throughout the series Kiera has been plagued by one impossible choice; who does her heart truly belong to? Developing over time feelings for both of two men in her life, she’s struggled with choosing once and for all and in this book she finally answers this question. All I’m going to say is that I’m one happy chappie! In the end I think choosing between Luke and Potter was easier for her than she expected, and this was before a startling revelation that is pure Tim O’Rourke! I’ve always liked Luke since the first book, but I’m sure that those who know me know I’ve only ever had eyes for Potter. As crazy as it sounds when going into the series, Sean Potter has always been the one for me. With his gruff, cocky nature and foul mouth he wormed his way into my heart and stole it completely.
This book is more explosive at times than any of the other Kiera Hudson books! I gasped, I shrieked and if I had it in physical form I would have thrown it across the room at some parts. I was enthralled and captivated, and in true Tim O’Rourke form some of the revelations towards the end and some of the staggering things that happened had me wanting to cry and shout. I wondered how the hell things would be resolved and kept think, “No, no, no!”
I’m extremely sad to see this chapter of Keira’s life come to a close and see the series come to an end. Every part, every moment of this series has been emotional in some way or other and every single thing that’s happened, be it good, bad, happy, or sad have all been entirely worth reading. This breathless end to a series that isn’t really an ending had me on the edge of my seat and utterly captivated and I cannot wait to see what Tim does with the new level of this series he delves into at the very end of this book in the next Kiera Hudson series, Kiera Hudson-Dead Flesh!

O’Rourke’s final book in the first Kiera Hudson Series has left me breathless, and I am on pins and needles waiting for the second series to begin. O’Rouke is already hard at work writing his newest series, a continuation of the first Kiera Hudson Series that will take on a completely different perspective from what we’re used to, and you’ll see why when you finish Vampire Hallows!
Wow! This is such an epic read, and the entire series has been riveting, but overall, I have to say that this final novel is my favorite. So many things happen in this novel, so many things change, so many characters die, friends become foes, foes become friends… and the one extremely well kept secret… the one I’ve been dying to know, have speculated about, and have bitten my nails to the quick about… is finally answered. And, yes, it is shocking!!! While I thought I knew who Elias Munn was on many an occasion as I read the entire series, I actually only got it right once, and that was only in a fleeting guess. Upon the true revelation, I was flabbergasted and devastated, but O’Rouke has set it up so perfectly as this final novel grabs your attention, takes you for an amazing ride, and then leaves you dying for more.
I am in awe of O’Rouke. He’s flawlessly tied together five and a half books in this series, drawing upon events from past novels in order to bring it all together in this epic conclusion, while also setting the stage for the new series. I can’t even fathom how O’Rourke does it all, but he’s an amazing writer. And you know what I love about this book the most? While it’s dark, and it’s sad, by the end the reader is engulfed in happiness again. It’s an emotional rollercoaster, but rest assured everything works out well in the end, and the next epic read is on the way, with the release of Kiera Hudson: Dead Flesh coming out in March! Hallelujah, I am in love with this series and cannot wait for more!
"Vampire Hollow" is truly a great ending to a wonderful series. The story begins right as book 4 ends. Kiera believes she has finally discovered the identity of the elusive Elias Munn. Has she? She as she begins questioning the subject, the unthinkable happens. He is snatched away from her mid air and Kiera begins a hot pursuit. The result of this chase is not what she expected or wanted (I will not reveal what happened).
Kiera and the gang continue on their way to the Hollows. This is something Kiera has always wanted or does she. She is determined that she will not make the earth shattering decision as to which species will die: humans or vampryus. She meets her contact, Coanda. The Hollows are so beautfiful that it brings tears to her eyes. She never would have believed something like this could have existed. It makes her even more determined not to have to be the one to determine who will live and who will die.
Coanda sets up a meeting with the Elders of the Hollows for Kiera. However, there is a lot more drama, intrigue, and betrayals that will take place before her final meeting. She will discover the identity of Elias Munn. Will it be someone she trusts, will it be someone she loves, or will it be just another bad guy with secrets? You must read this book for the answers to these questions. I will say that my suspicions of the identity of Elias Munn was correct yet, I was a little saddened by it.
Overall, "Vampire Hollows" was entertaining and just plain old fun. Read it for yourself and enjoy.
4.freakin9 :D loved this one :D i was glad kiera stuck to her guns a bit more and did what she needed to do. although everytime someone would mention thinking they knew who the bad guy was and then BOOM! dead. i was like uuuuuuuh-uhhhhhh no freakin way!!!! the suspense was freakin killin' me. i had my suspecions through the book and i actually had to put the book down while i pieced everything together half-way through. to say i was feelin' bitch slapped was an understatement. then i was like kiera fuRther on in the book... suspicious, adding more evidence onto my conclusion and when the reveal happened... i was squealing again, i was like mwhahah! i KNEW it! so freakin' proud of myself i done a chandler impression with his dance (F.R.I.E.N.D.S) to day my parents looked at me funny.... well. anyway, it's now nearly 3am where i am and i desperately want to start the next book but know i need sleep... but don't think thats gna happen even though im passed tired and into delirious mumblings of a tired woman. anyway thumbs freakin' up to this book, first book started out iffy, wasn't sure i was going to like it all that much but i didn't give up and carried on and i am sooooo happy i did :D
I would first like to start with a huge THANK YOU to Tim O’Rourke for such an awesome series. I fell in love with each book. Vampire Hollows is the fifth (and final) book in the Kiera Hudson Vampire Shift series by Tim O’Rourke. I was extremely anxious for this book and I am extremely happy to say Tim did not disappoint. It was very difficult to put down. The book (just like others of the series) was wonderful. It was excellently written. I have to say this was by far the most emotional book of the series; I felt like I was on a roller coaster. The action was non-stop. As I said in my review of Vampire Breed (#4), I had my own suspensions and I actually have to say I was RIGHT! I had suspicions since book #2 and although I was often swayed to think in a different direction the thought was always in the back ground. I love (love, love) the way the book ended and opened up for Kiera’s next series Dead Flesh. Tim O’Rourke is an amazing author and this book proves why he has moved himself into my list of top authors. I highly recommend this book (and series) and give it a 5 (+) out of 5 stars. I look forward to reading more of Tim’s books and more about Kiera Hudson.
What can I say, another Amazing Book in the Kiera Hudson series. This one made me laugh, made me cry & had me on the edge of my seat the entire time. I think I chewed down every last one of my nails by the time I was done LMAO I am proud to say my suspicions about Elias Munn were dead on (although the reveal had me in tears, Im not ashamed to admit it!!) I would recommend this book to anyone who will listin to me, but would suggest reading the series from the beginning. It is well worth your time. But be prepared, Mr. O'Rourke has a way of totally sucking you in to his stories and evoking a wide range of emotions is the span of the story & you WILL lose track of time =D I am very much looking foward to the next Kiera Hudson series. This Author has landed firmly on my Favs list & I dont see that ever changing. Im totally ok with that!!
Awesome ending to an awesome series! Finished reading the 5 books in two days, devoured it like there's no freaking tomorrow!
I'm happy about the ending, ecstatic really! I need more POTTER! Love Love Love him! The only thing that I didn't like was Kiera's choice in music I just thought it should had been more bad ass the only song I appreciated in her playlist was Florence + The Machines the other songs..not much, but that's just me. Anyways, love love love the series! can't wait for the new one! :)
I just loved the cover of this final book. It was definitely worth waiting for, lots of questions were answered and still more questions remain. I started this book in the morning and finished it late at night as it was too good to put down. I have enjoyed watching Kiera grow throughout this series and when the going got tough, Kiera got tougher. She matured into someone who could make the hard choices after all and ultimately was true to herself. Whilst this is the final book in the series, it is not the end of Kiera or some of her friends and I for one can't wait to find out where they go from here.
Okay so after reading Vampire Breed (my favorite of the series) I was like how can Tim O'Rourke beat that!? I mean really that book was AMAZING! THEN I read book 5 and BAM! Tim O'Rourke beat it, shoved the surprise in your face, stomped all over it and I was left with none other than our old cliche word "WOW"! I enjoy a book that really brings out strong emotions out of you. The ending of the book..."WOW!" :) Thank you for an outstanding series.
Book Five in the series...After what seemed like a long wait for this book to come out it certainly doesn't disappoint! Carrying on the journey for Kiera and her crew (Potter hmmm....) into the Hollows and the decision she has to make about the survival of one race this book continues with twists and turns galore to keep you guessing to the very end. Loved this book, loved the series and would recommend this series to all! :)
True to form Tim O'Rourke has given us an amazing final book to the Kiera Hudson series. As usual I couldn't put this one down and there were several jaw dropping moments! I can't wait to read the second series. If you haven't read any of these books I suggest doing so they are unpredictable unlike most books of this type.
Loved it!! Finished it in two nights after the 3 1/2 foot tall captain insano went to bed. Not that it was a quick read, just that I couldn't put it down. Kiera is one of my favorite heroines. Now I can't wait to read dead flesh!!!
I absolutely loved this series. As it turned out the person I thought was Elias Munn was who I thought it was. I loved the twist and turns. I loved how Kiera made her choice about what race would survive. I can't wait for the next series. Thank you Tim O'Rourke for another great book
Well what can I say, a total roller coaster of a read from book 1-5. I loved them. It was maybe not the ending I was hoping for but the whole way through there were unexpected twists and turns. Well done Tim on evoking every emotion as i read, and a captivating series of books. Kim
An excellent last book in this series. Exceptional twists and turns, the complexity of the characters was excellent and the ending, was unexpected but an absolutely great read.
