The story continues in Part Three --When a series of freak storms sweep across the world, they leave behind something more than devastation. First come the swift-growing flowers, smelling like heaven and dying as quickly as they bloom. Next comes the infestation as the flowers breed and multiply inside their hosts. After that, chaos, mayhem and death. And after that…resurrection.

Part of 3 of 10 raises the bar set by the first two parts higher, by adding the emotional element of broken families, alcoholism, and divorce with little children. Compounding the typical family tragedy is the flowery infection of her ex-husband and young child, and Abbie's heroic response to it. In addition, Hart adds the first person perspective of the Ice Cream Suit televangelist Renton, from his twisted childhood of hearing the voice of his 'fathergod', his murder of his parents, and his own eventual death and resurrection via flower spores.
Warning - cliffhanger ending, but a very good one.
Part 3. WOW!!!! It just keeps getting better! I cannot wait to see what Abbie will do next.. I won't give any spoilers... I'll just say: READ THESE STORIES.. a Monthly short story series. Fantastic break into Horror Megan!
This series keeps getting better and better. By part three there is more character development and a lot of the very emotional, realistic writing that I have come to love from Megan Hart. The Resurrected continues to be a very powerful, creepy, and psychological horror story with just enough carnage to get the point across, but not so much that it appears to be there for shock value only.
