I really enjoed these books. I read them as fast as I could to see which direction the story was going. Katie is very believable as the confused human. She also confuses the immortals. First she has a son who's really an angel. Next she meets death's assassin. Then she begins meeting the ancient immortals. Then comes Ryne. They escape hell and have perilous adventures until her heart decides her fate. She follows her immortal until he decides it's too dangerous. She "dies" to save Ryne and now ready for the third book.

the time skip between the end and the beginning of the book was horrible... just... horrible and there was a bunch of stuff that irritated me - inconsistencies and such, writing could be better, etc. still liked the book though!
