Definitely NOT the best women's erotic romance that I've ever read. I didn't even finish the book!
Rachelle Chase's Out of Control:
This story was ok, the sex scenes were ok. The story just didn't flow very well. I also didn't find the characters to be particularly believable (i.e. they made decisions that were convenient to the story, but not in character with the way the author had previously described them).
Amber Green's HAWKMOOR:
I totally did not dig this story. I felt like there was too much left out to really understand the "world" the story was set in and to follow what was going on. That, and not enough sex scenes, and I barely got all the way through this one.
Charlotte Featherstone's Lessons In Pleasure:
This was my favorite in the book. The flirting and sex between the hero/heroine was hot. The rest of the setting/characters was decent.
Calista Fox's In the Heat of the Night:
This story was boring and I didn't even finish it. It was way too transparent from the very beginning.

A mysterious shapeshifter seeks his missing child bride... a woman laboring under a generations-old curse fights her emotions towards her bodyguard as the day of her death approaches... an event planner goes to a job interview expecting to receive a job assignment, but gets an entirely different proposition from the wealthy man in front of her (my personal favorite in thsi book)... and a young woman agrees to lessons in pleasure from the neighborhood rake in order to save a friend's husband from a duel. Four authors present erotic stories about love and lust.

This anthology ran the gamut from very good - Charlotte Featherstone's "Lessons in Pleasure" to pretty bad - Amber Green's "Hawkmoor", which was just not fully developed.
The other two stories, "Out of Control" by Rachelle Chase and "In the Heat of the Night" by Calista Fox fell in the middle.
