I initially picked this up because it has "walker" in the title and knew it was going to be about zombies. What I wasn't expecting was for it to be about smart zombies and a touching story of revenge.

What happens when a scientist discovers something that they're not supposed to discover? Their entire family is murdered... but what happens when that scientist injects themselves with the same serum they've being killed for.... you get a Dead Walker.

The characters in the book are well thought out and likeable. But the doctors assistant is a little too combative to be a believable friendship. She has to have been planted by the government, it's the only explaination.
