Well, someone wrote a book on it.
Absolutely worth the read.
My one critique would be that had the author considered that Gentiles would have been interested in reading this book, she might have included a brief section in it for translation/definitions.
This is a great book! At first it was hard from me to get through it because it is a bit text book like. However, I decided to use it to learn from and took notes instead and that made a world of difference. I felt that I really grew from reading this book and the stories Mrs. Heller tells really helped me to retain the information. It's a book I definitely need to refer back to when I have questions on the issues involved. Also, for those who like skimming, each chapter could be read separately as well.
This book was extremely helpful for me. It is geared towards women and maybe specifically Jewish women. I am not Jewish but my son and family are so I'm quite familiar with the terms used and the people who are quoted. It's a perfect book for a womens book club as each chapter can stand on it's own. It's a book that I will reread often. It has helped me through many challenges.
Usually, my yetzer hara gets the better of me with these mussar-type books and I can't get through them. Truth be told, I put this one down for about two weeks also, but it was much more readable than most. Good and memorable advice. May Hashem help that I apply it!
