Great continuation of The Rogue's Fate. The characters are complex with confusing relationships. The twists and turns in the storyline make this better than the first book. There is a layer of mystery that keeps you guessing until the end. I love the addition of vampires and witches as well.

In Missy De Graff The Alpha's Secret: a Forbidden Shifter Romance (The Raven Chronicles Book 2), we find Lucinda and Caiden are both trying to figure out the new dynamics of their mate bound but aren’t really talking to one another they are pretty much going based on how they think the other person is feeling or what they think they other person is thinking. So their communication skills are lacking and they really don’t have the room that they need to figure out their new relationship because Caiden is the Alpha and he needs to rebuild trust in his pack also Lucinda is new so she has to establish herself into the pack and prove that she’s not just a rouge wolf. While that on it’s on isn’t enough for anyone to deal with trouble seems to always find these two. Cody comes back with the news that the witches have put a bounty out on Lucinda head. Caiden is almost killed when the assassin comes to collect on that bounty so that leads Lucinda to leave to go and find answers. While she’s away unseen forces starts to plant seeds of doubt in Caiden head. When secrets starts to revealing themselves in book you don’t know who is friend or foe. You just have to read to see for yourself if Lucinda and Caiden is strong enough conquer all of it together or will other forces win out in the end? I received this book via Booksprout as an ARC for my honest opinion and I honestly loved it. I would definitely recommend that you read book.

Secrets Galore - Witches and vampires (they're real too) pose a threat to the werewolves. Caiden and Lucinda each face their challenges separately, but neither is happy with the distance between them. There are secrets revealed about both of the alpha wolves, Lux is keeping secrets from her mate, and enemies are coming out of the woodwork. The Pack House has wards and the Brotherhood protecting it from the vampire threat. The vamps are trying to recruit Lux into an alliance. Which side will Moone Pack choose? A cliffhanger ending makes it imperative that one reads the next book. I, for one, cannot wait.

A great, quick read full of twists, action, and surprises.
Lucinda and Caiden are dealing with the aftermath of ignoring pack traditions. Both are unsure how the other is feeling, neither communicating properly, so they are both miserable.
Caiden needs to show strength and be a true alpha. Lead his pack, protect them and put them first above all else, like he pledged when he became alpha.
Felix opens eyes with surprising truths (or are they?).
Lucinda leaves the pack to draw away the assassin that is after her and to keep the rest of the pack safe. Caiden of course doesn't understand and only yearns for the return of his mate.

A second entertaining and often stunning volume, with action, danger, surprises and mystery, but also some surprising revelations. The ending is awesome!

I really liked the development of the characters. I can't wait to read the sequel and find out what happens next!

First off Lucinda and Caiden are the most frustrating couple, they were so good at the end of book 1 and now they're spending so much time hiding things from each other it's getting ugly. But onto the good stuff. Vampires and witches are hunting, someone has sent an assassin after Lucinda, and Caiden's curse is getting out of control. It's a pretty intense and jam packed book with so many creatures talking it's hard to decipher who is telling the truth. Then it leaves you with a cliff hanger and you just want to scream, so book 3 better be coming quick!.

Caiden and Lucinda have sooo much going on. They have a lot to deal with after going against the pack traditions. They need to both grow together and separately. If Lucinda would only trust Caiden a little more. Then with the witches and vampires after the pack, there are a lot of decisions to be made. What will they do, and who will they side with? Who is telling the truth and who is spreading lies? There is a lot to figure out and I can't wait to see what happens in the next book.

Nothing is ever easy and Lucinda and Caiden can’t seem to catch a break. Secrets are kept all around, the curse is getting worse, doubts are planted, lives are in danger and trust is almost non existent. There is still so much happening here and the search for answers leaves Lucinda on her own. This story is riveting, intense, filled with action and the chemistry leaves you wanting more.

I hate that Caiden and Lucinda spend more time apart than they do together in this book. I didn't trust Felix and then he does things that makes me think that he's not all bad. There's so much betrayal and trickery in this book. I still don't trust Sabrina or Leah. I'm thinking that they're half-breed witches. I was ecstatic to find out about Cody. I hope it's not too late for Caiden and Lucinda.

Omg this series just gets better and better. Lucinda and Caiden, where do I begin. It seems nothing is ever easy with them and now that Lucinda had to leave to gets her own answers and Caiden is questioning everything thanks to outsiders twisting words. What is happening is insane and secrets that were revealed I didn’t see coming. I am hoping that Lucinda and Caiden conquer all.

Lucinda and Caiden are Fated Mates. Caiden is the Alpha of the Blood Moon Pack and Lucinda is his Luna. Caiden, his Beta, Dylan, and pack member Cody, have all been cursed by a witch. Or have they? This story is full of action, romance, and steam, ending in a HEA. Very highly recommended.

Oh my! Secrets and treachery are abound in this book. You learn more about Lucinda and her family plus Felix, Dylan and Caiden. Sabrina is definitely up to something and so are the witches. Plus there is a big surprise at the end. An enjoyable read.

Lucinda and Caiden are keeping secrets from each other and they are apart while Lucinda draws the assassin away from the pack. Neither are happy apart they just want to be together. Caiden has someone in the pack telling him lies
trying to separate the mates. Read this one in one sitting also.

Incredibly slow book. A whole boom and they get no where in every sense of the word.

We get no further in their relationship and then lux goes in her epic journey leaving her mate behind and can't even be bothered to text him.

I found this book, tedious, boring and tiresome.

I will read book 3 just to see how it all ends as its on ku. Otherwise I wouldn't bother

Lucinda is back and so is the danger, surprises and trouble that she gets into. Lots of action, twists and characters to enjoy. Had to see what was in store for and how everyone would overcome it. Lucinda is questing and others have trouble of their own. A good story.

This is a good addition to the series. Action packed, fast paced with good world and character building. I do find Lucinda and Caiden highly frustrating in this one and often wanted to shake some sense into them. Good read.

This is book two in the series and once it starts it does not stop. It is action-packed with so many twists and turns you never know where it's going or who to trust. I'm sitting on pins and needles waiting for the next book.
