Statia never gave much thought to evil that roamed the night. Besides fighting an occasional demon, her only problems are school assignments and a jealous ex-boyfriend who refuses to stay out of her new relationship. When things get rough, a fallen angel of a warrior pledges his help. Payment required? She'll have to leave everything behind. Somewhere in the darkest of nights, a Fae Prince hunts for Statia. Blood bonded at birth, he has an epic need only she can fill. When forced into seclusion after his father's murder, his only option is to walk the corridors of her dreams and send his Master Warrior to bring her home. However, Prince Rayne is not the only male who wants her...
I just stumbled along this book and I couldnt be happier. The book was not really what I was expecting and took me by surprise. I liked all the characters but I really hate love triangles. Hate. Them.
On the subject of love triangles I cant really figure out whose team I'm on. I have a feeling I know who the heroine is going to end up with, which kind of sucks because I like both characters. Usually in a love triangle I'll have my favourite, who I want the heroine to end up with (usually the bad boy)and it does usually work out that way.
If someone's prophesized to be with someone then falls in love with someone else, generally it's the person they're not meant to be with that they end up with. If you know what I mean. It happens in quite a lot of books and I'm good with it as long as happens with the characters I want to get together. If not the book seems totally ruined, so I just stop reading. What's the point if it's not going to turn out the way I want?
Take the Vampire Academy series. I loved that series-I think it's even in my favourites shelf-but I knew that Rose wasn't going to stay with the person I wanted her to. Sadly I couldn't even start the last book and the series was ruined for me. Now don't get me wrong, I really love the series but there's just something about a heroine getting with anyone who's not my favourite guy that really pisses me off.
Does that happen to anyone else? Just me? Ok, then. Back onto the subject of my current book...
Needless to say it was a great read and I cant wait for the in the series.
I loved Dreams Fall Down! This book was amazing. It has confusion, loss, and romance. Tabitha Summers is a fantastic author and her writing will draw you in, and keep hooked until the very end! I can't wait to get my hands on the next book!!
Okay...I freaking adore this book....except it was more like a love square...or love pentagon.. :/ huh. yeah but besides that it was like the best book EVER!! and I got it for FREEEEEE :DDDD
I love well-written YA fantasy. And other than some grammatical errors, I was glued to this book. Loss, romance, darkness, and more are found in this book. I loved, loved the characters because of their flaws. While I'm witholding more judgment of the series until I've read the rest, I cannot wait for the next one!
