Addressing both the changes in the study of adolescent behavior and the changes in the nature of adolescent development in Western society, this informative collection of readings provides a comprehensive cross cultural perspective of adolescent development. Covering every aspect of adolescent development as it takes place in cultures worldwide and historically, this book takes a longer age range approach to emerging adulthood and provides a look at this pivotal developmental period extending into the early twenties
Most articles are focused on adolescents, and only a few discuss emerging adults. If you have read any other book by Arnett regarding emerging adults, then this will probably just be a repeat. However, some of the articles by other authors are quite interesting and definitely worth the read.
