We went looking,

Rate this book
For a young reader, a nice little nature study book. Helps little ones start to identify things viewed in nature. The words are simple such We went looking for BADGER, we went looking north and south. but we only saw a Woodchuck with a whistle in his mouth." The illustrations are detailed and engaging. Lots to look at and identify. The drawings are more realistic in nature. The book covers such things and grackle, lizard, hornet, sparrow, and much more, all the while as they are still looking fo "Badger," using repetition to aid learning. Nice little read aloud for toddlers to preschool and up.

Beautiful illustrations and picturesque speech. A frog with eyes in turrets and a Snail with eyes on horns. Robust vocabulary. It's a charming book all around.
