Kathryn Jackson wrote hundreds of lively, witty stories for Golden Books, most of which were coauthored with her husband, Byron. The Saggy Baggy Elephant is one of the pair’s most famous titles. One of my favourite books as a child, re-bought it as an adult. I remember being fascinated with the traditional stories from around the world as koa koala made each country stopover in his air balloon. Loved it. Still do.
