I was so on board for this until it got to the Cinnamon Angels.... Really, that section is terrible. This is a children's manga. Why are we teaching kids that we should do everything we can to get a guy's attention? I found it very shallow and not interesting at all. The rest was good though.

3.5⭐️

It’s a bunch of pups that love sweets and they’re adorable. You can’t ask for a more wholesome manga (except for one storyline). I wish I could have read the first 2 volumes though. I feel I’m missing some character development that are probably in the other volumes. They’re pretty straightforward to understand though, and there is a small guide to tell you who each pup is and what their personality is. I don’t think you necessarily need to read the others to get them.

I couldn’t read the first two volumes because they aren’t in my library. And after seeing volume 1 be $50 and volume 2 be $78 on Amazon, I can see why. I’m assuming these don’t print anymore?

Only 3.5⭐️ because while I would want to recommend it, I can’t read more of them at the price. There was one storyline about weight watching and dieting that was a little weird for being an adorable book that’s clearly aimed for children.

The first part was just as good as the first two books, but once it got into the cinnamon angels, it just got weird. Azuki is really cute and I like the addition of her character, but everything else about the angels was annoying. Call me an old prude, but it felt inappropriate for little girls. The angels always talking about boys and dieting was just unhealthy. Little girls are impressionable and it’s unnecessary to bring up subjects like weight gain. I think they tried to go the route of trying to relay that being healthy is most important but it didn’t come out right in my opinion.
The constant bickering was also annoying, and instead of bringing out the good qualities in the girls, I felt like it just showcased their bad sides.
I’m hoping volume three excludes the cinnamon angels.
As always, this is just my personal opinion, and if you enjoyed it I’m really happy you did!

I loved the sweetness presented in this manga. It reads more like a collection of manga short stories than an overall cohesive story. Some stories focus on a different characters. The ending collection with the cinnamon angels didn’t quite match the rest of the collection, but they were still cute.

I really freaking hate the Cinnamon Angel sections. I like the normal Fluffy, Fluffy Cinnamoroll parts but the Cinnamon Angels just make Mocha and Chiffon extremely unlikable and made me drop 2 stars from the book.

The cute series continues with tales of the pups. New stories are started and the pups learn new lessons as friends. Plus, all the treats make me want a treat in real life.

Reason for Reading: Next in the series.

The third volume in this delightful kids' manga aimed at girls brings about some subtle changes. The first is the entire exclusion of the former nemesis of the pups, Cavity. He does not appear in this volume at all, nor is he mentioned; it is as if he never existed. This is no loss to the story as he was a bit lame of a bad guy. Instead the pups' nemesis is now themselves as they get along as a group of friends having to deal with each others feelings such as jealousies, competition, anger, etc. They do run into random "bad guys" though. Also while maintaining the short story presentation of the former volumes, the "sections" are much more related to each other creating mini story arcs that are joined together (some more so than others). This book ends with a final section called "We're the Cinnamon Angels" where the girl pups have made themselves a clubhouse and they have their own adventures without the boys. These are cute and deal with more girl subjects such as fashion and cute boys. Only thing that bothered me is a new character is included here, making a group of three girls, who has never appeared in the series before; an introductory story first would have made sense. Overall, this volume is the best of the three so far and I hope the others continue with this new form.

I didn't know this was the third in a series when I started it. Actually I didn't know until more than half way through. It really doesn't matter though. It's complete fluff, with really no plot other than Cookies! Party! Superstar boyfriends! Considering it is marketed to pre-teen girls, no surprise. However, some really bizarre and completely entertaining things happen in this book that lend to the WTF Japan category. Main character? Flying alien puppy with giant ears that he can flap like wings . Adventures? Teaching a ghost cloud to talk by stretching it so it is bigger and can form words. Also, adventures in magic candy land turn South quickly when they realize the candy is making them hate each other. It's ok though, a magic bell can save everyone. Let's make gingerbread men from this super secret recipe? OK, they all turn out to be helpful slaves except one because they give it a pepper for a heart instead of a strawberry and boy is everything bad then! Invaded by penguins? Line up ice cubes and slide the penguins on them all back into the ocean, but first employ them to make a crap ton of snowcones. Surprisingly enough, not one I'm recommending you go out and buy. But if you want bizarre, here you go.

It was a really good book! The only thing that I didn't like as much as everything else was the cinnamon angels and how rude Mocha is. I still liked that part of the book though.. This book, out of ten is 9 3/4!
