Nancy Marchand had come to live at her husband's ancestral mansion, Marchand acres, after she and Ralph were married. And, as if Ralph's dominating invalid mother weren't enough to contend with, Nancy soon found herself fighting three beautiful blonde women for her husband's love and attention, as he drifted strangely away from her and the happiness they had known in their year of marriage. Then, suddenly, Nancy began to sense that more than her marriage was at stake. Now she was fighting for her life, as someone -- or something -- was warning her that she was the next Marchand to die!
Although this book is older and quite short I found it a quick, fun read. The characters were not well developed, but I love that I thought I had the poisoner figured out and ended up being entirely wrong.
