From Simon & Schuster, Devil Down Home is Eve K. Sandstorm's latest mystery novel that you can't afford to miss.
While running a Halloween "Haunted House" for the local youngsters, Nicky Titus stumbles upon a corpse dressed up as Dracula and joins forces with her husband, Sam, the sheriff of Catlin County, Oklahoma, to find a killer.
The Down Home series (a trilogy) is a good read. Sam and Nicky Titus are interesting and charming characters and they are a great team. The author’s descriptions of the land and the way of life are very interesting.
Highly recommended, especially to readers of the author’s Chocoholic Mystery series, written under the name JoAnna Carl.
A comfortable down home book just like the title says. The story was interesting but not super exciting. I'll probably try another book in the series in the future just because I do like series books.
Not my kind of book. I skipped some parts, mehhhh... It was an excruciating read for me but I bet there are people out there who would enjoy this book so might as well give it a try if you're into... say, mystery? and a bit of the detective kind of stuff, I guess? :D
