Shadows & Vines by C.D. Britt is definitely not something I would normally pick up, but I decided to step out of my comfort zone, and I’m really glad I did.

I actually met this indie author at an “adult book fair” and was told her books are amazing, so I had to give it a go.

It took me a little while to get into at first, but once it clicked, I found myself pulled in. The story between Devon and Persephone really stood out. Their connection felt strong and emotional, and I loved the soulmate aspect woven throughout their journey.

As part of the The Reign of Goddesses series, it blends mythology and romance in a way that ended up surprising me. Not my usual genre, but definitely worth the read.
