Just got this as a Christmas gift from my brother, and I instantly consumed it. Daniel inspires me so much. This book did that and more. Amazing piece of art, and I think the best gift I have ever gotten. ❤️

Disclaimer: I bought this book after watching THE DEVIL AND DANIEL JOHNSTON. If you don't know Daniel Johnston and his work, you probably would not want this particular book, but I have been fascinated with Daniel's story and his artistic endeavors in music and illustration. This one is as quirky as one might expect and more.
Odd sketches accompany a broken story line. Again, if you are unfamiliar with the work, leave this one be. . .but this is part of my 2012 Reading Challenge now. And part of my overall makeup as a reader (eek).
the man. the myth. the legend. i can't believe this finally happened. daniel johnston always knew he wanted to be a comic book artist. he even hitchhiked to west virginia to meet P. Craig Russell, where Russell told him to check out Austin's underground comic scene. really interesting stuff!! what a treat!! BUY THIS NOW!
"Let's war!" This isn't a compelling story by any means, especially compared to Johnston's own, but it's filled with great images of demons and ducks fighting one another through time and space.
