This Silly Slider Book features picture changing sliders and plenty of critters for counting, along with numerals and written numbers.
Take a numerical safari with A Silly Slider Book , the second book in the Silly Slider Book series. Designed especially for beginning counters, Numbers teaches youngsters how to count from one enormous elephant to ten sparkly dragonflies, with a whole zoo-full of critters on the pages in between. As young counters move the sliders, they'll learn to count—and spell—from one to ten. Each page presents a featured numeral and a host of number-specific critters. And, with just one slip of a slider, both the numeral and its spelling are suddenly revealed. Magical!
Benji loved the slider action, even if it was a bit tricky for him to do. The illustrations are goofy and fun, showing various animals in groups of 1 through 10, with some other object in each picture also represented in the corresponding number. The slider on each page changes the illustration in hilarious ways - for example, on page two moving the slider up gives the two giraffes extraordinarily long legs! My favorite page was the crabs with their goofy eyes! My only complaint is that absolutely nothing happened to the bugs on page ten, oddly.
