Lost Without You - 5 stars This was truly a romance to remember. Shane Adams is one of the best chemist in Atlanta and Adams Cosmetics was reaping all the benefits. Then problems with a fragrance forced them to look for an additional force in the lab. Enter Gabrielle Burton, the renowned chemist working in Paris. The day she started working in Shane's lab the sparked ignited...not only with the fragrance but in their hearts.
Competition with Jax's cosmetics, a playboys attitude and family drama threatens to steal the joy Shane & Gabby developed. Not knowing if their relationship could withstand the corporate lies and deep family hatred they call it quits. Will they allow their hearts to bond in love or will the industry destroy another relationship?
St. John has written her best romance hands down. The drama, the sexy love scenes and strong storyline will keep every reader entertained. I promise this is one to put on your summer reading list.
This book was a great continuation of this series. Often times when a romance book has business as its focus the romance aspect is lost, but this is not the case with this book. The business and romance are balanced very nicely, and it doesn't feel like one over shadows the other. Shane and Gabby had a hot and steamy courtship, and you could really feel the love between them from the very beginning to the end of the book. They had some fiery love scenes, and the chemistry between them was at a 10. It was nice to catch up with Ethan and Kayla from Need You Now, and to see that they are still going strong. I can't wait to read Courtney's book to wrap up the series.
Despite the soapiness of these books, the plot can actually be considered good. Though it started slow, it made up the traction midway in. I enjoyed this.
This story is a continuation of the Adams siblings trilogy. Shane, the middle child and only son, falls for Gabby. Gabby, Shane’s college rival, is a brilliant chemist, but has secrets of her own. I liked this story and the family structure and cohesiveness shown by the Adams. The time and setting changes within chapters were a little better than the first book, but still a little difficult to follow.
Although this was not one of my favorites, I would recommend reading this book. I'd consider it better than average and look forward to reading other books by this author as time goes by because I believe each book will be better than the last.
I loved this story it is my second time reading it. I enjoyed the details that were included in the storyline about the industry it is about. I also hope that Courtney gets her own story.
This second story follows so perfectly from the first. The close-knit Adams family and Gabrielle coming in to be a part of the company and start a personal relationship with Shane. Their past started their interaction and now they are seeing their attraction for what it is. It's all working out so well.
I enjoyed this book's storyline. Some parts of this story were sad 😔. I really liked the hot 🔥 & steamy scenes. I really liked Shane's character. I really liked Gabby's character. My heart broke 💔 for Gabby. I enjoyed the ending.
This is the second book in the Adam’s Cosmetics series. Unfortunately I didn’t read the first book so, I couldn’t connect with the characters and the storyline. That being said, I did enjoy the plot, the drama and the S3xy scenes.
With a heat that burns bright and emotion that runs deep, St. John sets the senses ablaze. Shane and Gabby are a seduction. From hypnotizing to heartbreaking, Lost Without You is a haunting duet that finds it's rhythm in the sensuality of romance.
Gabby, spent the last few years in Paris, working and trying to heal. Now working for the perfect company with a handsome man she finds herself have to learn to love, trust and heal again.
I am in the process of rereading this book and I have a question, does anyone else ever wonder how in a supposed "spontaneous" love making scene, the male protagonist always seems to have a condom handy? I'm not talking about the typical playboy who we already know has a reputation. I'm talking about the Uptight businessmen. Or the brooding male who hasn't had a woman in his bed since the bad breakup years before. I have noticed that writers throw that statement in to add to the splendor and the build up of the scene & at first in all of my early reads, I never thought twice about it. But now I don't see how that can be called "spontaneous" or "reckless" at this point.
