This complete book on the history of golf in the United States is a fascinating collection of facts, events, stories and knowledge all wrapped up in one big package. At 513 pages, it is a long read but one that will be savored by golf aficionados and novices alike. I felt the stories at important tournaments in the game, especially for those in majors like the Masters and the U.S. Open were almost poetic in their flow and description. Herbert Wind is considered one of the better golf writers and he shows it here with this excellent book.
