The good.
I liked this book better than the first one! I also think this is my favorite pirate series I’ve read so far! Such an entertaining read, and super binge-able! I basically finished it in two sittings!
The bad.
There were some parts where I felt the plot, outside of the romance plot, was lacking. But…
Overall, so good, and I would recommend!

Many spoilers ahead. I love this series so far. She finds her father is not who he has pretended to be. A pirate king, pushing his daughter to train her to be the best. Only to find out he only has been doing this because she is part siren and has been keeping her mother captive since she was born. The daughter breaks her mother out of her father’s office. They are fleeing from the pirate kings entire fleet only to lose a mast and have to find a new one on an island full of cannibals. Her mom throws herself off the boat shortly after rescue to be with her Siren sisters. The daughter feels betrayed but there is a redemption arc. As my review of the first book states, this is a great book. It reminds me of pirates of the carribean mixed with princess bride.

alosa learned her father has lied to her in a way betrayed her now with all the map pieces must race her father to the treasurebefire he gets there. along the way fighting other pirates as they try to stop her from getting to the treasure Alosa also goes through a sort of self-discovery when it comes to using her siren powers. She notices that different things happen when she’s around Riden and she wants to figure out what it all means. embracing her siren heritage more as she learns to control her siren side an not turn into a beast who just wants to kill men. there's is action thar has you sitting on the edge of your seat and a slow burning romance (no spice) between her and Riden . all in all a very good read

The story about Alosa and her loyal crew touched my heart in many ways than possible. Her crew would probably be the best part about this book. The humor and dialogue delivery is perfect for a pirate  crew. I would say not my most favourite  book about pirates and not the best enemies to lovers but it was a good mix of both. And Alosa is a very powerful girl boss female lead which I would love to see in more books

This books is absolutly amazing it's filled with deep adventure and even overcoming fears. I would totally recomend this book to fantasy and pirate lovers. The first book "Daughter of a pirate king" lives up to all the hype. This sequel is just as good as that book, and if you love this series as much as I do I would check out all of Tricia's books they are all outstanding.

I read all three of these books in an old fisherman's cottage on the Devon coast. They're great adventures perfect for this setting. I love the strong female characters and hope there'll be a fourth for next year's holiday by the sea!

I have never disliked a main character so much. I didn’t really enjoy the first book, but I was hoping the second would have enough character development for me, but it just didn’t. 🫡

Daughter of a Siren Queen by Tricia Levenseller is an exhilarating follow-up to Daughter of the Pirate King and once again showcases the strength of its incredible FMC, Alosa. I absolutely loved watching her continue to grow and evolve as she faces even greater challenges, both in the high seas and within herself. Alosa is as fierce, clever, and fearless as ever, and her wit and determination kept me completely hooked.

The world-building and action are just as exciting as in the first book, and I found myself racing through the pages to see how Alosa would outwit her enemies this time. But what I really appreciated was the emotional depth Levenseller brought to the story. Alosa’s personal journey, her struggles with trust, and her relationships—especially with Riden—added layers to the adventure, making it feel even more meaningful.

If you loved the first book, Daughter of a Siren Queen will not disappoint. It’s packed with swashbuckling adventure, strong character growth, and an unforgettable heroine. Alosa is one of my all-time favorite characters, and this sequel cemented that for me.
