Welcome to the 22nd century in this futuristic novel that reads like a bit of a western. In 2190, Earth has run out of energy and looks to the galaxy to solve their problems. Of course when energy is found there, the rush is on and the new criminals, more like old style gangsters. want to take over and keep the profits. To combat them, we have the new type of cops, who are really more of a throw back of the old west. With Marshal's and deputies patrolling the galaxy. That is where the adventure begins and readers are going to find this story fascinating.

Sorry, cannot recommend. Too cliche, to predictable, too thin of a plot, characters terribly unimaginative and unlikable. I wanted to like it. The premise seemed cool. Tons of untapped potential.

This could have used a good editor. And in just the first few pages, the author kept pounding the same points over and over. Yeah. I get it. Law enforcement. Warrant. Beat the other corrupt law enforcement agencies to the punch. Thanks. No thanks.

Good Tongue in Cheek Space Opera

If you like a tongue in cheek writing style, not quite self-parody, you will probably like this story. If you don't, better to pass it by. I really enjoyed reading this tall tale from space and the old west. However I enjoy a parody from time to time. The infighting between different police forces is also rather funny.

The Centaurus Legacy by Tom Bielawski is the prequel to the Heck Thomas Adventures. Heck Thomas finds himself hunted by a number of adversaries, whom either want him dead or forcibly needs his help.

There are several characters that didn't seem fleshed out enough, but the story was good and held my attention.

Once again I have found a good book in this story. I found it hard to put it down until the end.

I re3ceived this book free from eBook discovery in exchange for an honest review. It was a fast-paced space opera, probably more suitable for YA. The plot was like a video game.

Unsophisticated writing. A classic space western with no surprises. The good Marshall is betrayed while trying to save his lady love, with whom he has intimacy issues. An unlikely ally saves the day. I loved it.

My first Kindle read. Very fast paced science fiction novel. Marshall finds himself on the wrong side of the law, when he is set up. Accused of destruction and murder, must rush to clear his name and save his girlfriend for powerful foes searching for control of a wormhole.

Interesting book. Not my typical read. I will try to read the second book in the series. I enjoyed this one but not enough to want to read it again in the future as I do with many books.
