It's OK but no better.

Sure, read it if it is to hand but look elsewhere would be my suggestion.

As the subtitle plainly states, this is a guide to playing the game of Rugby Union. As I am well past the age of taking part in any sport, most of this manual was irrelevant for me. I've been watching the sport on t.v. from a comfortable armchair for some years, but have never actually watched a game 'live'. Having recently purchased a season ticket for the 2016/17 premiership at Sale Sharks, I thought it a good idea to get some familiarity with locks and loose-head props etc.
Perhaps not the ideal book for me, but the only thing available in the local library. More suited for the budding Union player/coach, this Haynes publication still holds enough information for anyone interested in this sport. I found many points of interest in the field of play positions and their roles along with the principles of team play, revealing some of the mysteries of scrum, ruck and maul, as well as the complete laws of the game.
