Jerry Baker's expertise and love for his work shine through on every page of this guide. He includes time-tested advice from his Grandma Putt, many "tonics" and "elixirs" for all sorts of gardening - and other yard - situations, and a wealth of his own experience. This book was great because it was both informative and concise. Baker made sure to explain to us why he was making each suggestion, and his practical approach and humor added both to readability and ease of application for his wisdom. I am planning to keep this around and refer to it as needed. I've already mixed up a compost feeder tonic to accelerate our compost heap.
