You've probably heard that Flash is something used to make lively, interactive, web-based interfaces or animated movies. Flash is certainly well suited for those applications, but did you know you could use it to create computer graphics that put PhotoShop to shame? Flash-based Bishoujo (Japanese for "pretty girl") illustration techniques are quite advanced, and this book shows you the complete, essential, start-to-finish techniques of six pioneering animation masters. We've literally stuffed the pages with tips on everything from how to draw with Flash to how to make your Bishoujo cuter. At the end of each section, you'll find a gallery showcasing each artist's work. Flash has the power to make your dreams come true.
Oh god. Why must they use Bishoujo (More like bisHOujo) Characters, why, I just don't understand. Out of all the How to Draw Manga volumes I own, this is one of the worst. The methods are explained fairly well. The diagrams are done well and the explanations given by the artists are thorough. But I really want to know WHAT THE HELL were they thinking with marketing this? Seriously. Let's have a bunch of perverted artists draw busty bimbos in hopes it will get men or lesbians to buy the book. The art's not even that show-worthy either to be honest. Teru and Tamotsu Nobayashi are my favorites in this, simply because they know anatomy better than the other artists.
Only buy this if you're determined to learn some techniques on Flash (like I was).
