The title of this book reveals its central thesis, the way to effectively build God's kingdom is through "warfare with the Devil." According to Okoro, crushing the Devil involves taking the offensive, in prayer, against the demonic principalities and powers which are at war with God's kingdom. In his book, he expounds on the fight and the force we should use to get what is truly ours; blessings and prosperity. We must claim the gifts stolen from us by Satan, and retrieve them back into our lives. He gives us all the answers in this book, which is a good teaching for Christians and those trying to find their way to the Throne of Grace. Once you pick up this book, its hard for you to put it down. Your eyes are just opened to one thing after another. Filled with knowledge and TRUTH, every Christian and should have a copy of this book as their guide to warefare. I am an avid reader and this book has touched me in a way that not many books have. I especially like the chapter on "Preparation for Battle: The A-Z of spiritual warfare". Okoro's exhortation enabled me to walk away with the conviction that we must take seriously the fact that we are involved in spiritual warfare and, because evangelism treads on the enemy's turf, it must be accompanied by fervent prayer in order to produce great results. Scripturally well-balanced, the book is written in easy to read and understand layman's terms, with a user-friendly format, filled with practical application. I received new insight into spiritual warfare that will forever change my mindset. The emphasis given to prayer and holiness is commendable. I love it!! An ideal Birthday gift for a good friend.

“Expect great things from God. Attempt great things for God”
The title of my review resonates with my heart as this was clearly stated in Crushing the Devil. I am a Christian author. After reading this amazing book, I want more….more of God and more knowledge of God’s ways. This tightly wound book, overflowing with scriptures gives an understanding in concise ways on how earth operates.
I have read a plethora of books on spiritual warfare. Having said this, I absorbed another perception of how to fight Satan from reading Crushing the Devil. I recommend reading it more than once, taking notes; as it moves with great wisdom and tools in how to defeat the enemy. If you are a child of God you will have an encounter with Satan. He comes to destroy the testimony of God’s children and make us doubt the goodness of God. But if God is for you, then it is impossible to fail.
The tactics and strategy used by the Devil are explained in great detail. My regret is that I am limited to giving only 5 stars to this great read!

Pedro, teaches us in this book that it is necessary to discover our purpose. I also love the line "God has invested something very special in you, he therfore expects a return on his investment." So true...I've learned so much from this book. Their is a spiritual battle going on in this world "Crushing the devil" helps you put on your spiritual armour. I recommend this book to anybody who may have lost their way, or are dealing with depression. The enemy has ways to attack us But remember one thing (No weapon formed against you shall prosper, it won't work.) I wanna thank the Author of this book because it will save a lot of people and make them stronger in Christ. God bless any body who reads this book it was a blessing to me and now i can stand stronger with the devil under my feet thanks again Mr.Okoro for helping me Crush the devil.

I received a copy from Goodreads First Reads.
"Crushing The Devil" is a great book on how we should be fighting the spiritual war.
It lays out an easy to understand, Biblical approach to fighting the battle and living the life we should be. The author uses scripture to show us how the Bible would have us live in our fight with Satan, as well as real life examples that make it easier to see the point he is trying make.
It is not a quick read! It is loaded with information and I never felt that he glossed over important points, He takes the time to explain everything, which is great for those who are new to the Bible, but there is more than enough for those more knowledgeable.
Over all, a great book that I learned much from.

If you are a bible believing Christian looking for a book on spiritual warfare, then this book is an absolute must read.
I have been reading this book for months now, yes I did say months. This is the kind of book that you can never really finish reading, because you will most definitely find yourself reaching for it again and again, as a prayer guide or point of reference. After reading it from cover to cover I know I'm still not done with it yet lol.
This book is packed with so much information. The language is clear and concise, covering its subject matter thoroughly. This book blasts open the strategies of the enemy and empowers the believer. You will find yourself questioning your thoughts, emotions, reactions and intentions. It will cause you to re-align yourself to the Word of God, and in doing so there will be a spiritual repositioning on the battlefield.
You will learn how to do warfare in a modern and advanced world with an equally intelligent enemy.
You have got to read it.

I have to say that I am amazed at the insight that Mr. Okoro has into the the the schemes the enemy uses to deceive us! He has truly been a given a revelation and a divine insight from God, used as a vessel to bring this knowledge forth to those who are desperately seeking God's will for their life to be an overcomer in Christ Jesus!! I highly recommend this book.
