Another spectacular first reads!!!! Thank you so much Allison for the opportunity to read your beautiful novel “Shadowed Souls”

Author Allison Aileen Masters masterfully draws you into this extremely exciting storyline from the very first chapters.. Insomnia thanks you for this amazing book to pass way the sleepless hours. It is one of those gripping books that you loved to enjoy turning pages well into the wee hours of the morning (yep, no sleep)

As a seer of angels and demons (one of my favorite blends), Ava has spent her life living within the shadow of the one world government.
Ava is a special agent for an elite branch in the government trying to keep herself and her sister alive.

All that changes once she meets Aedus, a high ranking angel who introduces her to the dark and murky gray under cover world where there are no rules. Her safety walls come tumbling down around her, making Ava choose her destined path… and to rely on someone else’s help, other than her own; a man who breaks the very laws she is to enforce, Lucian Sloane.

Wow, what can I say but…. I LOVED IT! I wasn’t disappointed, Allison will take you on an amazing ride, a journey packed full of good vs. evil in such a exciting way.. Balancing on the edge of your seat or bed as in my case.
Shadowed Souls has a fantastic premise, this series hold a great load of promise. The suspense never falls short and the dialogue is very well written, Fans of angels and demons will fall in love with this novel as will any lover of paranormal romance. Allison Aileen Masters is definitely an author to watch!! You will find yourself fully immersed, and wanting the book not to end.. wanting more. Hurry up please Ms. Masters with the sequel, we’re waiting with baited breath.

Ava is a protective sister, who makes the story flow with her protectiveness and endearing strong qualities. I would recommend this book to all readers out there. Shadowed Souls is now in my to "read again pile"..

Review:
"Shadowed Souls" by Allison A. Masters was good fantasy novel. Indeed the author did show her capabilities of being about to tell a good story. The novel is a fast mover that will keep you interested in what will happen next. The story is of Ava Malone who work for the United Alliance as a government agent. Ava worked under Pierce and they both worked under Dean McCath who made them play by the rules. Ava was a Seer, being able to see angels and demons was presented by Aedus that she was needed to finish what her Mom, Rowan Ann O'Mera had started and that was fullfill the prophecy. Ava mom had given up her life for Ava and her twin sister Elora. The story really takes off and there is a lots of mafia play. Ms. Masters has very interesting characters in the novel that will keep you on the edge of your seat.. Ava, Pierce, McCath, Jerry Contiello, Ruthvens, Isbeal, Aedus, Margaret, Rowan Ann O'Meara, Demons, Angels,Demons, Atori, Charlie, Lucian Sloane, Gavin, Daren, Tony Contiello, Mario, Tony, and Johnny(Aniwaya's) and I am sure I have left someone out.
In the end Ava was more focused and determined in a world where it seened like no one was playing by the rules, will Ava be able to kill the demons and clones with the flaming sword and the sword of life?
I did enjoy reading "Shadowed Souls" and I will be looking forward for the next book. The novel was interesting and I would recommend this one for a good read especially if you love fantasy reads.

I won a copy of Shadowed Souls in a Goodreads First Reads contest. The book was provided by the author.

Shadowed Souls is the story of Ava. She’s a Scottish woman living in NYC. World War III devastated the world and caused the formation of a one world government. Ava works as a special agent for the United Alliance. Ava can see angels and demons, unlike her twin sister Elora. Ava is an independent, spunky, sharp-tongued young woman. Ava and Elora’s mother stopped one of the biggest human cloning operations, and there is a prophecy that says Ava will finish where her mother left off. That’s where Aedus comes in. He’s the angel that’s going to train her. On top of worrying about the prophecy Ava is dealing with a case at work that has her investigating the local mafia.

This story was good, and there was always something going on. It was definitely unique. Ava is a great character although she’s a little boring. Her twin sister Elora seems to be a more developed character. While I enjoyed the story I thought maybe a little romance would have helped. The story is good but it wasn’t enough. It was hard to connect with Ava, or feel any emotions towards her. She is surrounded by attractive guys throughout the book, yet she feels nothing. Now, I’m not saying every book has to have some kind of love story infused into it, I just think this story would have been more entertaining with a bit of intrigue. That being said, I loved Gavin. I think there might be more to him than we’ve seen so far and I hope he’ll be in next book!
