My name is Becca Van. I live in Australia with my wonderful hubby of many years, as well as my children, a pigeon pair (a girl and a boy). I have always wanted to write and last year decided to take the plunge.

I didn’t want to stay in the mainstream of a boring nine-to-five job, so I quit to fulfill my passion for writing. I decided to utilize my time with something I knew I would enjoy and had always wanted to do. I submitted my first manuscript to Siren-BookStrand a couple of months ago; and much to my excited delight, I got a reply saying they would love to publish my story. I literally jump out of bed with excitement each day and can’t wait for my laptop to power up so I can get to work.

Good Grief
This is so chock full of WTF I couldn't make it past Chapter 2. If you're at all interested in this book wait until you can read a longer excerpt on Amazon. Truly awful.

I enjoyed this book more than the 1st book. The sex was better but that could have more to do with 3 sexy men than anything else. Lol. I do love small towns and cowboys

Ok. Here is another story about a petite stunning female. Who by the way is stacked and has a body to die for. She is traumatized from being alone. The overall story was and I'm being generous here, messed up. She basically doesn't know what she wants. She alot of the times is indecisive. She is also a whiner. The men were extremely domineering. I will not be reading this story again.

These are so corny I can't help but to like them. Caught myself laughing at some of the things said that I'm sure wasn't supposed to be funny! Amusing, short, light read.

Bloody Hell, How did I get through this book the first time? Right from the beginning I was struggling. The way that one guy was talking to her and thinking was just offensive. The only reason they hired her was because they wanted to have sex with her. Like, I honestly wouldn't have put it past them to fire her or not renew her contract if she turned them down. Not to mention the fact that they didn't seem to have any interest in getting to know her at all. They knew what they wanted in a woman and they were projecting their desires onto her, they didn't care whether or not it was something she wanted in a relationship or sexual encounter. And then it gets worse. She's assaulted and the sheriffs response is to tell the brothers that he wants in on their pursuit of her. Not even more than a couple hours later! Like, WTF? I was so proud of that house keeper for telling them off. But it just shows that the writer knows exactly how gross that was and just didn't care. Not to mention she hadn't shown any interest in the men, let alone the sheriff. They didn't even discuss whether or not she might be interested in being pursued by him they were just like sure, if you must. And then it somehow gets even worse. She heads into town and when the sheriff finds out he drags her back to the ranch despite her protests. He had no right to do that. She's her own person and she can stay in town if she wants to. No job contract entitles someone complete control over another's personal life. He said he was doing it to protect her but she was in a public place so how likely was it that the guy who assaulted her would choose now to renew his attack? And then, for some reason, after all of this, she agrees to have sex with them. I have no idea why; she hadn't seemed interested before. Those men didn't care about her. They wanted to control her and mold her into whatever they wanted. That is not a healthy dominant/sub relationship. There was no consent or communication about desires and expectations. They expected blind obedience. The complete lack of autonomy was just too much. I don't think I will be finishing this. The only reason I am giving this book two stars instead of one is because the writing is decent and the sex is hot if you can shut your mind off and forget how frustrated you are that it is happening in the first place.

Another " No way on Earth would this scenario ever happen " book !

Ms. Van books are well written and usually well edited. Unfortunately for me however, her books are so far-fetched in their plots they fall into the realm of " No damn way would this ever happen ! " I understand romance novels are fantasy written to take the read on a journey. A form of escapism if you will but there should be some believability. This story has none . A young woman shows up at a ranch owned by two brothers to apply for a job. With in an inconceivable short time ( minutes ) the brothers decide she is the one for them and they are in love. The young lady , is attacked by a ranch hand and the sheriff is called. The sheriff decides within minutes that the woman is for him as well. Now think for a moment, two male ranchers, full of testosterone , might share a woman for a night of kink . But to fall in love , want to get married and have children and be willing to share ? Okay this could happen. How about a sheriff? Willing to share a woman he loves ( according to him ) with two friends? Never met an Police officer, especially a sheriff, who wasn't full of testosterone. Yeah just a little silly.

Just finished #2

Really loved this one. Lots of fun, fear, and loving. Something happening all the time. Wish there were towns like this, where people took care of their neighbors like this.

Wowza!! This is a hot and steamy read!! I love a sexy menage!! And the story is interesting. A problem I have found with this series is once they start having sexy the story falls away a bit.

I am hooked on the series so I will keep reading I just hope the writing improves. I would like the intrigue to be more than an after thought in the end.

Read in January 2012.

I didn't review this at the time but I have to admit to loving Becca Van novels. She has an amazing talent that shows in her writing, her characters are all different and unique and her storyline and plot usually always leave you in suspense. Plus hello... it's kinky!

The book was just okay for me.. There were certain elements I loved
But couldn't get over how unequal the relationship was.. Poor billy didn't have much say going into this relationship I felt he was the fourth wheel

Second time with this book. It was ok. Maybe a little better than first book, but I still don’t feel connections with anyone. Poor Billy was always getting bossed around by his brother or Luke. I didn’t feel the camaraderie between the 3 men.

Story was too rushed to make believeable and allow the charaters to have depth. I felt sorry for Billy as it seemed that Luke and Tom were selfish.
