In the book, Grk Adventures by Joshua Doder, Tim and his dog Grk found this man, lying on the beach, that was dying. He said with his last breath, “Cough, Cough, Colapso,” and then Tim ran for help. No one believed Tim when he said that someone was dying. They only thought that he was a crazy kid that had horrible parents. After the police got there, they asked Tim what happened. Tim told them that he was on the beach when the man showed up. I really liked this book because it involves a lot of action that keeps me interested, and wanting to read more. Another thing I liked about this book was when Tim went on an adventure with his dog, mainly because I really like dogs. Another thing that I really enjoyed was when he went on the vacation with his family, because they went tubing down a huge river, which I have done, and it is really fun. One thing I did not like is that he gets shot at by really bad people. I personally thought that it was a little too scary for him. Another thing I did not like was that he did not go on an adventure with his family. Some of the things I questioned while reading this book were: why was Tim wandering on the beach alone with his dog Grk? Another thing I wondered was, who taught a twelve year old how to drive a speedboat? After reading about all the adventures and explorations of Tim and his dog Grk, in the book Grk Adventures, I think the theme of this book is that no matter what happens, never give up if you are doing the right thing.
