I liked the book, but it was bit slower than the others . It took me weeks to read whereas the others I finished in a matter of days. I think the storyline dragged a bit in the one.

Well, well, well, I have read the third installment of this Mistress series, and we have come to hear the voice of the mistress, Mz. Jessa Bell, and she seem to have a hell of a lot to say.
In this installment Jessa speaks out, and peoples are listening to what this pregnant mistress has to say. She goes from tramp of the year, to an leading authority on cheating, no good husband's.... If that ain't the "fuck-it," I don't know what is.

This novel takes a few twists and turns, although there was nothing really shocking, but not that predictable either, which kept me racing towards the end. Mrs. Jessa Bell took center stage, and the author worked her in every which way possible. Although Jessa tries hard to stay on the side of The Lord, there just too damn much going on with the woman to walk among the righteous, and one reason why is, if Jessa looks anything like the model on the audio cover here, then hell she was created to please and to be please. Why fight nature? --And Jessa Bell can not fight hers.

My versions of this novel was read in my Kindle app and listen as an audiobook purchased from Audible.com. It was narrated by (the hot, sex, seductive voice of), Scoozi Cheyenne, and yes I got a thang for this woman's voice. The audio version played for 9 hours and 2 minutes, and Published by: Recorded Books.

Author Niobia character development skills was excellent. The plot was driven by Jessa's small bush fires she had flaming up everywhere, which will keep you turning the pages to see what she does or how she responded to situation, the woman has such a wicket tongue. --I think the author was trying to prove a point to counter the judgement handed over to Jessa, and I'm not sure if I liked it. This dislike is not against the author or the storyline, it's just to say in my opinion to uncover all those who were judged as hypocrites damn near validated Jessa betrayal, and exonerated her of her sins, I just like calling a spade a spade. You read it and let me know what you think. The drama is good, not over the top. The situations are true to life, as well as their solutions are believable.

This story just seem to get better as it goes along, if you haven't gotten your copy yet run and your copies today,, because the next book is on its way! "The Pleasure Trap" set to drop this October 2014..... So catch up.... This novel gets a 5 out do 5 stars.

The saga continues....

Jessa Bell destroyed friendships and lives with her cryptic text message about having an affair. Now that her married lover is deceased and Jessa has suffered a near death experience, she wants to come clean. Jessa wants forgiveness from God and her former friends, but that will be easier said than done. The Richmond Hills community is once again the center of media attention and Jessa finds herself in the middle. Will Jessa be able to live a "normal" life after all of the problems she has caused? Will her former friends ever be able to forgive her? Read Mistress, Inc. to find out the answer to these questions a more.

Bryant's third book in the "Mistress" series does not disappoint. This time, we find out more about Jessa's past and how she came to be the person that she is. With this character, Bryant is able to force the reader to think about the true meaning of forgiveness and how we can move on from the past. It's a good read, especially for readers who have followed the series.

3.5 Star Rating......This one fell short to me not as good as the second one not as bad as the first one...With that being said Jessa Bell was trying to redem herself and find God, which at times things didn't look to good for Jessa. For a brief moment I was wishing for the ladies to find a way to rekindle their friendship but then I don't think there was no coming back from some of the things Jessa did....so some things were better left alone.....

Jessa's mother is not the only crazy one in this story!

Betrayal, deceit, jealousy, adultery, attempted murder, out of control gossip, bullies, this crazy story has it all!

Jessa Bell was a 13 year old victim but as an adult, all those reckless decisions she makes are all on her!

Read this for my bookclub (and also because I'm nosy and want to see what happens next to the characters). Jessa is a trip for real, but after finding out more about her upbringing (more and more skeletons keep jumping from her closet!) you can kinda sympathize with her....naaah, maybe not!

Just okay

Too much rehashing issues already solved and not enough depth with new issues and characters brought forward. There is a fourth book, but I'm not sure that it's necessary in order to wrap up everything. I REALLY didn't like the ending btw, but c'est la vie., Talented author though. Very talented.

Buy it, read it and enjoy!!👍🏾🔥👍🏾🔥👍🏾🔥

The Scarlet Mistress

Jessa Bell’s story has been in the local news for weeks. When a chance to tell her story nationally comes along, Jessa sees this as an opportunity to finally tell the entire story. Sure she slept with another woman’s husband, destroyed a marriage, alienated friends, and rocked a community, but she wasn’t alone. Now that her lover is dead, she is the one being persecuted, alienated and ridiculed. Would it ever end?

Despite the naysayers, Jessa is trying to build a bond with God. She’s tried to make amends with her former friends, but each is adamant about not staying in touch. Though through her betrayal, Aria, Jamie and Renee can easily see that their lives have been enhanced for the best. Knowing that they can’t forgive her, can Jessa finally learn to forgive herself?

MISTRESS, INC. by Niobia Bryant is the third installment. I like that readers get to meet Jessa and peel through the layers of her existence. While Aria, Renee and Jamie aren’t the main attraction, readers still get to peek behind the scenes into their lives as Jessa battles with her demons. Unfortunately, the story is still so repetitive, especially since by now, readers know of many, if not all of her transgressions. Also, it takes forever to get to the new secrets that she’s withholding. I read the kindle version and there were definite missteps in editing with missing and/or misspelled words. A good read. I hope we’ve finally said goodbye to the women in Richmond Hill.

I see that choke hold didn't kill Jessa triffling butt. Ok I'm finished reading the book. I tell you that Jessa is something else, but after finding out some disturbing things from her past, I can see why she carried certain feelings. Her behavior was still funky though. LOL The ending was surprising as well. I enjoyed this book. SN: sometimes it's hard submitting a review without telling to much.

This book was probally more like 4.5 stars. In part three of the Mistress series, we learn more about Jessa Bell and how she became the person she is. After learning about her childhood, I wanted to feel sorry for her, but her actions just would not allow me to do so. I was a little disappointed with the book because I just do not feel that Jessa got what she truly deserved.

The third part of the series was just okay. The majority of the book was about the mistress and what she wanted to do with the rest of her life.

I didn't get engaged with the story until the end, but I kept going in order to finish the series.

Where to begin this book was horrible to save the lease. I really should be given it one star but it took me so long to read it and get through it because I was just so sick of this character Jessa Bell. Let’s just talk about how this book just showed how vindictive she was. I don’t get it … she didn’t learned her lesson just a pitiful person. Then they want you to feel so sad for her because of the because of the incessant abuse, which never a light subject, horrible things that have happened to anyone, but that does not count for how vicious she was on purposely and how all of this started because she decided to be in a relationship that she knew she shouldn’t have been in.I’m so super frustrated how they portrayed her to always have the upper hand on her neighbors to always be successful in her plots with no repercussions and having her almost die in the previous book I really could care less about that because of the damage that she was doing and burning down people’s lives and spiteful about it. At the same time she goes on her religious journey. It baffles me so yeah, didn’t even read the other books in the series because at this point I’m over it. What started out to me being a good series jumped so far around did the other three main character’s life and think I was going to learn how they healed just poured over Jessa. Disappointed in this book by this author I typically like her, but this was a horrible book

I originally wanted to stop reading the series after the second book, but I saw the series had 6 parts so I decided to keep reading. I should’ve listened to my first mind…

This book was completely different than the rest. It mainly focused on Jessa. I did enjoy being exposed to her personality more, but going from reading from several POVs on one story to one character made the story a drag. There were some updates about the other women but it was very short.
Overall, the story was drawn out and slow developing with not much to anticipate to get you to the end. It was my love for the first two books that ultimately lead me to finishing this book.

So, I definitely will be ending the series here for me because I’m not interested in Jessa Bell’s story any further.

Wow! This book gives you a huge insight to Jessa. One things for certain the pain of the past can definitely alter your future. Now Im not saying anyone should forgive or feel sorry for Jessa. She definitely made her bed, but this book really makes you see her. She tried to sue Jamie for rights to Eric’s estate, now she fighting his parents for custody of her own child thats a result of that affair.. talk about karma coming at you.

this one took me awhile to finish but once i got into it , it was good. Jessa still didn't learn her lesson after all she's been through, she found out some tough answers to her questions and still learned nothing.

Boy, where do I start with this one...I like Niobia Bryant's books because I feel like she develops her characters a little more than other urban fiction authors. I enjoyed the first two books in this series because I got to see how a simple text message caused so much drama in the lives of four friends. By book three, Bryant completely turns her focus on Jessa's character.

The book begins with Jessa recovering from Eric's attack. She finds God and repeatedly says throughout the book that she is trying to do better. Ultimately, even after revelations of abuse in her childhood, I found myself disliking Jessa's character. Instead of creating a character that I could sympathize with, I think Bryant sets Jessa up as selfish. Even as a mother, she seems focused on herself. She is still a Jaguar driving, conceited person who stops at nothing to have things go her way.

Bryant even places a great character, Henry, in Jessa's life. I was so sure that Henry was going to be Jessa's redeeming point. Unfortunately, their story line was not nearly as well developed as I had hoped. Henry only serves as the awkward church guy who Jessa can only see as a friend. The introduction of Tyson's character, which is strictly a lust based arrangement, completely undermines Jessa's so called redemption.

As for Jessa's mother, Darla, I thought she and Jessa were two peas in a pod. It wasn't so hard for me to believe that Jessa could so easily reconcile with her mother.

And the last scene with Eric Hall, Sr? Totally unnecessary. I think Jessa's character became so objectified that by the end of the book, I was tired of reading about how everyone desired her. Still, her rape was a terrible scene to read.

Ultimately, I think I would have enjoyed this book more had Bryant continued changing through the different friends' perspectives. I wanted to know more about Jaime, Aria, and Renee. I wanted to read more about the characters who had to reconstruct their lives and friendships following Jessa's secret. Instead, I felt like I got stuck with a character that I wanted to read a lot less about.

Maybe in a future book I'll get to read more about the other three women. Sometimes ending a story on a hopeful note is not a bad thing...

Life can change in a heartbeat. It can also make you reevaluate. Jessa Bell was doing just that. She'd been through the ringer in the last few weeks and it wasn't getting better. Lying in her hospital bed watching the story of how her ex-lover tried to kill her and did kill himself, she realized something had to change. Right then she asked to speak to the hospital chaplain. Jessa knew change would be hard, but she was no stranger to facing hard facts. With her friends, ex-friends, shunning her and her neighbors watching her like a side show freak, she knew she'd be tested. Then, the unthinkable happens. Jessa is pregnant. The father? Her dead ex-lover. He'd killed himself and left her to deal with the fallout of their affair and now a baby? Jessa's mind went back and forth on whether to have the baby or not. She finally realized she couldn't give up her baby. Could she change? Would the world allow her to become someone different or would they always paint her with the same brush?

Mistress, INC is not what you are expecting! It's spiritual message is well placed among the life of one Jessa Logan Bell. Funny, tough and full of 'aha' moments, you're gonna love this book and will share it with friends. I enjoyed the way Jessa stumbled and then picked herself back up and kept moving forward. I found humor in the way she chose to reach out when things were at their most awkward. Well written and in down to earth language, I can't recommend this one enough. If you've ever known someone who was cheated on, or if you have been cheated on, this book will make you cheer at times. Other times the tears will be close.

I didn't find any issues.

I gave this one 5 out of 5 books because Jessa has a fighting spirit we all need.

The third installment of the mistress series fell short to me. In Mistress Inc we find out more about Jessa's past. I agree with other readers who stayed that the gist of her POV was, Eric did it too, He tried to kill me, which got old fast. She still never held herself accountable for her actions and she was more worried about personal gain than getting her life together. This should have been titled something different as she really only helped maybe two people in the entire book and it was briefly mentioned. I wish the ex friends could have actually reconciled or atleast sat down and GENUINELY talked.

This final book is more focused on Jessa who has just found out she is pregnant with Eric's child who just tried to kill her and then killed himself. Jessa is trying to right herself wth God while trying to work out raising a baby on her own. She's been giving a book deal and she's been on all these news shows and they surprised her with a reuniting with her mother who was drunk Jessa was furious. But she stuck by her moms side got her into a rehab center ad started working on her relationship with her. Jessa is no longer worried about what her old friends are up to they are rarely mentioned in this ending.

I liked that this book took a different focus, because I couldn't imagine another affair amongst this group of friends and foes. I enjoyed getting a deeper look into Jessa Bell's life and seeing where her imperfections could stem from. It was also crazy how she built a business off of her near death mistress experience. Not a lot of focus on the other ladies, I would've liked to get a few more updates on their lives but the main events were highlighted I suppose. I enjoyed the 2nd story in this trilogy the best, overall it wasn't a bad series to read.

This was okay. It was nice to finally hear Jessa's voice and story. Once she started she would not shut up. The constant whining about he did it too, I said I was sorry, I almost died and what about me pretty much sums up Jessa's voice. She is a fraud, she is not genuinely apologetic and did not appear to take her new walk in faith seriously. The only individual that was blameless is Delaney. Jaime was completely wrong to call her a bastard. She is the only one blameless from that twisted and crazed group. I'm glad it's over because I am tired of them all.

This whole series was crazy and drama filled, all three books flowed with one another and you never get lost in the story, but I do have to say that Jessa Bell was off the chain for real and even after bringing so much chaos to everyone's lives n almost losing hers, she was still acting a monkey, Eric just snapped the hell out cause he couldn't no longer have his cake n eat it too, Jaime was exposed and didn't know what to do, Renee n Jackson's marriage is basically over thanks to the games Jessa played everyone came out with the bad end of the stick, you must read this series
