Bushwhacked! Tom Shannon is gunned down as an impostor rides to take over his ranch. For three weeks he hovered between life and death, surviving only because of a mysterious stranger who found him lying, blood-soaked, on the trail. Cared for and recovered, Shannon sets out to find some answers -- and finds he bucking the deadliest killers in the West. Now a "dead man" fights to regain his land, and a six-gun showdown in the frozen hills of Montana determines who will ride herd on a fortune in cattle and gold.
A solid enough western, with loads of action and some decent plotting. Main issue is there is just too much plotting, which makes the final chapters feel exceptionally rushed. Best part is a quiet one, where our hero dopes out a nifty scheme to beat a deadline on a mortgage coming due.
