One of the greatest epic fantasies of all time rises to dazzling heights in the third issue of this masterly graphic novel adaptation of George R. R. Martin’s A Game of Thrones. King Robert has come to Winterfell, accompanied by his Lannister queen, Cersei; her son, Prince Joffrey; and her brothers, Jamie and the dwarf Tyrion, called the Imp. In their train come intrigue, treachery, and attempted murder that will shake House Stark to its very foundations. Meanwhile, across the Narrow Sea, the marriage between Daenerys Targaryen and the Dothraki horselord Khal Drogo wins her brother Viserys a dangerous new ally in his quest to reclaim the Iron Throne.

Descriptions of brutal killings and rapes carry more detail than is warranted. It seems as if Martin wanted a murder or rape every three pages. Shows women in a poor light - seems women had no status except as objects. Story jumps from character to character making it hard to follow unless one draws a family tree spanning several sheets. I have heard of rich storylines but this is going too far. Overall, seems to be a cheap porn book.

Like the last two, a great book. Hard to review without giving everything away (even mentioning characters can give away who lives or dies- but man, people die . . . what a cold, dark world they live in). The plot moves along nicely, with many twists, turns, and "did I just read that?" moments. Good stuff. Fans of the first two should read for sure. I will say, though, I wish the author would mix up his descriptions a bit. I have invented a Game of Thrones drinking game. Every time you read "Boiled Leather" take a shot. You will be in a coma by page 20. Same thing with "Glistening Tubes", and that is NOT a pornographic reference.

Remember that school field trip where you sat on the bus for ages, only to arrive at someplace mediocre? It took forever to get there, you looked around, and then you realized it was a long trip home. THAT is what these books have become. I'm approx. 3 million pages in, so I feel like I have to see how it all turns out--but the rewards:length ratio is leaving something to be desired, and I find myself skimming (falling asleep on the bus?) to try and speed things along. (Also, side note: this review is for the Game of Thrones book, not the comic book version...)

Whooo, there's Arya and Sansa in the opening scene. I believe this is the best one so far. The graphics are less irritating and the story pace picked up a notch, making me finish this one in less than ten minutes.

The Hound looks exactly like I would've pictured him from reading the books. Khal Drogo looks amazing(ly hot).

This drawing is actually from the first issue, but who cares: hawtness!

There are quite a bit of boobies in this one, but so are there in the normal books and, well, hello HBO(OB). I'm giving this one 4 brownies.

I had simply forgotten how enjoyable a good yarn can be. Hats off to Martin for never falling into borrowing from Tolkien. I don't like Medieval sword and sorcerer books as much as the next guy, the goofy names, stilted language...but Game of Thrones changed all that for me. I would love to discuss this with some one. I am resting now after book three, which I had as a library book, and read at breakneck speed to finish in two weeks (I'm a slow reader.). All I can say is "Whew!". Seriously, what a ride.

Grade: A-

“The Things I Do for Love” -Jaime Lannister

This Each Chapter is actually focus on the Character’s Human Part of Life for family, friends, and Partner- Love in their Different way, different personalities, different world. I’m impressed! But the reason why I gives this a three Star is because of This—👇🏽

The Cover of Khal Drogo undressed Daenerys for getting Sexual Intercourse is cringeworthy not because Shown the Nudity But because Daenerys is the age of 13 is Extremely Inappropriate.

Arya runs out on her needlework session to watch with Jon Snow Watch the Boys sword practicing in the Yard.
-Interesting Arc And Nymeria looks Beautiful But I criticizes Female Characters had a make up faces, thin bodies, and describe as Sex Object.

Bran climbing the towers of Winterfell then he heard Cersei and Jaime talking about his father’s position as the Hand And See they having sex. When they saw him, Jaime push him out the Window.
-The Rival of Stark And Lannister had started. The Looks of Winterfell is quite Massive like in the Book, Not Bad! I critics the scene where cuts off like 3 seconds.

Tyrion slaps his nephew Joffrey for being disrespect to the Stark, then joining his siblings and nephew and niece for breakfast with news that Bran Stark Survive.
-It looks Great, But I criticizes Cersei wear a robe without clothing under in front of her kids, and Joffrey looks 15 years old instead of 13 because his Hair And Face’s Ages.

Daenerys now married to Khal Drogo In. A Ceremony. When Drogo And Daenerys going. For a long ride before making love in the Nightfall.
-This is what the Chapters look on the pages, but like I said 13 years old bride sex Scene is extremely inappropriate of child pornography. Dragon’s Eggs looks so Cool And Khal Drogo’s Vision Appearance looks Awesome (And fo the Girls, Hot!)

Arya feels Outsider and loves to be a rebel sword fighting girl rather than a proper lady. Bran always love climbing and very curious to look and Hear, But Bran’s Fall Cause the 2 Family’s Rivals. Unlike Lannister, Tyrion is a great and respect character. Daenerys’s. Adrian’s is Cisery’s Force, However, she discover something unusual gentle loves.

The Graphic Arts looks Great But had a little less missteps and the Story feels a missing on a few Scene and the narrating gives a very short and kind of rush. But it’s fine. This is a Graphic Novel, in a Good-way.

If I can find graphic novels of books I already rad, I usally love reading them and see how the illustrator have captures the characters, it gives an extra dimension to reading the novel. I really like reading these ones and hope to find more in the future.

ETA: Please let me draw your attention to all the people leaving reviews for STORM OF SWORDS, instead of, you know, the COMIC BOOK. Are they even reading the title of the book they are "reviewing"?? This is seriously driving me nuts.

This issue covers Dany's wedding and more events at Winterfell.

Arya ain't so horseface in this version. You know, someone should have told the artist that not all the women are pretty in this story... I wonder what his interpretation of Brienne is...

I am not even sure how I stumbled upon this series, but somehow I did. This is the third in a rather lengthy series. I think this is something of a guilty pleasure type of read. I was pulled into this fantasy world that has just enough of reality mixed into it to make it easy for the reader to fill in the gaps and create a rich world. I recommend it if you are looking for something to pull you in.

Book 3 was amazing! I have finished this one and moved straight to book 4. So much has happened in the third book and I cannot see yet where we're headed. I think I loved Brienne and Jaime's journey the most in this installment. Really touching and unexpected. Still rooting for Dany and Jon Snow. Thank goodness I have a long commute at the moment so I can continue to read these behemoth books.

Oh lawd!!!!!!this book was drama! I was scared to turn the page half the time and yet so intrigued by three story. I kept asking a friend, who's already read this installment, "OMG, what happens to ...?". My aim is to read the rest of the books in the series without stopping but I think I need an emotional break from Jon, Sansa,Jaimie, Samwell and the rest of the crew. The Others take me.

I had a hard time getting going on this third book. I think I was a little GofT weary but once I did get going, "I read my eyes out". As good as the first one. Looking forward now to 4!

So now we're on to episode two.
The graphics are still not my favorites but they're growing on me (mainly because of how insanely hot Khal Droggo is) I'm enjoying going through this again in a different way. Really enriches the experience!!

in this issue we see: Bran climbing into something he shouldn't have, An unfortunate accident, a deserved slap and Daenerys's wedding to khal Drogo.
This was a action pact issue, very enjoyable.

Almost every face looks the same.

Just another generic comic adaptation of a live-action feature. Skip this one.
